3. Digipak analysis- Front cover
The front cover
shows the face of
Justin Bieber
which helps the
people who buy
the album
recognise the
artist straight
away.
Conventions: The main artist being the
main focus on the front cover.
Target audience: I think
the target audience is
young teenagers mostly
targeted at girls as he is
an attractive guy which
attract the audience.
Composition- Justin
biebers face is
positioned on the
front cover in the
center to make the
artist stand out.
Connotation: the image of Justin Bieber
connotates youth and links with the target
audience which is young teenagers. The
album name also connates youth in the way
its called believe and it tries to get the
message across that any young teenager can
do whatever they want if they ‘Believe’.
4. Digipak analysis- spine
Has the name of the artist and
album which tells the people
buying it what its called.
The colour of the writing is a
type of gold on the words
‘Deluxe edition’ as it does
with the name of the artist,
which suggests that this
edition is unique and
different to the normal
edition of the cd. The colour
also makes the spine of the
cd case stand out.
We can also see some logos on the left hand
corner which could be the companies that were
involved within the making of the album. It is
also a convention on every music album.
5. Digipak anaylsis- Back cover
The colour on the back cover the digipak is
bright and bold which helps the case stand
out. This is also a convention of the pop
genre which will therefore help people know
its from the pop genre.
Representation- the
image of Justin sitting
on a seat playing the
guitar which
represents that anyone
can do anything if they
believe which also
links with the album
name ‘Believe’.
Genre- The way you
can tell this is a pop
genre is by the
clothes the artist is
wearing which are
very fashionable
As you can see on the
guitar cover it says
believe which helps the
remind the audience of
the album name.
There is also the list of
songs on the album to
make the people aware
what's songs are on the
cd.
