that are currently suffering from poverty?

4.  Firstly, what is poverty?
 Poverty is about not having enough money to
meet basic needs such as food, clothing, shelter
and essentials to enjoy a basic standard of life
and well-being that's considered acceptable in
society.

6.  Which country suffers the most from poverty?
 Democratic Republic of Congo suffers the
worst from poverty.
 Their GDP is about $370 per capita.
 This makes Congo one of the poorest countries
in the world.

7.  Because of the poverty, almost 80% of the
people suffering poverty die from starvation or
illnesses
 What’s worse is that 47% of the victims are
children under the age of 5. 45000 children die
each month .
 Congo also has had a few civil wars which
worsened the state of living in Congo

8.  Why poverty happens?
 Lack of jobs for workers , terrible sanitations
and inadequate access to school.
 Because of this the people are not able to earn
money and thus cannot buy food and things
necessary for living.

9.  How could we minimise poverty?
 Raising awareness to people can help reduce
poverty as they will support the organisations
that are trying to mimise poverty.
 Through this support, the organisations will be
able to supply more resourses and education
that will benefit the country.

10.  Who is helping fight against poverty?
 Food for the Hungry is and organisation that is
providing medicine and food to countries all
over the world that are suffering poverty.
 They are providing vaccinations for HIV/AIDS
and malaria.

11.  This organisation also provides education.
 They educate the people about proper hygiene
and sanitation as well as basic education and
the effects of poverty.
 When they are educated, they can teach the
other people on the effects of poverty and the
proper hygiene.

12.  Another organisation that is helping to reduce
poverty is Feeding America
 It is the largest organisation that donates food
in America
 They supply food to more that 25 million
Americans each year.
 They have 200 networks that supply food to all
50 states

13.  Believe it or not, there is actually poverty in
Singapore.
 An example of poverty is one room flats.
 Most of old people who are abandoned by their
families live in one room flats.
 One room flats are flats that do not have more
than one room. The residents cannot choose
who they want to live with.

14.  We can start a food donation drive in the
school.
 Students are encouraged to donate canned
food, rice, biscuits and oil for the old people.
 We will donate the food to them or salvation
army.

15.  In our opinion, poverty is a very saddening
situation.
 This is because the government is spending
money on war instead of helping their people
 If the big countries like USA, Russia, China
invest their money on their people, there might
be no such thing as poverty
 This is because the total amount spent of war is
estimated to be 2.4 trillion USD as of 2017.
