The annual HRINZ Conference is attended by over 250 active HR practioners from across the country. Paying
particular attention to current workplace issues and long-term trends that affect organisations, the HRINZ
Conference continues to promote the strategic role of HR in the realisation of the strategic goals and visions of

The 2013 Conference hones in on that notion more than ever before with the theme “Friction or Flow? Making the
boat go faster”. This theme asks the questions, “is HR doing all it can to help create flow within organisations,
making the boat go faster?”. Keynote speakers include Professor Dave Ulrich from the Ross School of Business at
the University of Michigan, Professor Ian Williamson from the Melbourne Business School and Jamie Fitzgerald, CEO
of Inspiring Performance and overall kiwi adventurer.
