• While considering the 4Es, companies can begin to develop their online
marketing efforts by using the 7C framework.
• There are 7 elements of this strategy that companies must examine to
attract customers:
• Core goals
• Contextual elements
• Content
• Community
• Communication
• Commerce
• Connection

4. CORE GOALS
The first step of any plan is to create goals.
One goal a company may have for their marketin
g strategy is to find ways they can engage their
customers to use their website. For example, a
company may ask you to take a survey so the
content that comes up is personalized to your
liking.
5. CONTEXTUAL ELEMENTS

The design of a company's website is an important way to draw customers in. Focusing
on fonts, color, and schemes is help to strengthen a company's brand.
Amazon's website has a simple, easy to use format that customers can easily navigate
through to view and buy products. On the other hand, Toggl is a time tracking site that
is interactive and has animations as the user scrolls down a page.
6. CONTENT
A website's content goes with the 4Es of
marketing. This includes the text, graphics,
video, and audio that is relevant and engaging
to customers.
Companies must use keywords to explain the
content customers are looking at.
A smart way to improve a company's chance of
showing towards the top of a search engine is by
using search engine marketing (SEM).
7. COMMUNITY
Company websites are way to allow customers to interact
and exchange information. This helps create a sense of
community.
Thought sharing websites are a great way in creating
community. A blog is a thought sharing site that allows
users to share opinions, reviews, ideas, etc.
Types of blogs:
• Personal blog
• Corporate blog
• Professional blog

8. COMMUNICATION

Communication is a pertinent way for
customers to stay in touch with companies.
Live chats, instant messengers, telephone, and
email are all ways that customers can
communicate their questions or concerns.
Twitter is a very popular platform that
customers use to communicate with
businesses.
9. COMMERCE
There are many different digital marketing tools that
customers use. Some may use a website to make
purchases. Mobile apps are another way purchases
can be made. Online shopping is fast and
convenient, but lots of people still shop in-person at
stores. Loyal customers will use all off these types
of these channels to shop.
When a company has multiple channels, it's easier
for customers to purchase items at any given time

Companies must find ways to get customers
engaged or "connected". One way to do this is by
giving customers a call-to-action. A call-to-action
is used to get customers to dive deeper and
navigate a website for a longer time.
Some call-to-actions include buttons such as:
- Get started
- Buy here or Buy now
- Sign up now
- Show your support
- Learn more
11. SUMMARY
In conclusion, there are many
factors of online marketing that are
crucial for companies follow.
There are many channels that
companies can use to implement the
7Cs of online marketing
framework.
