PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
PNC Bank, N.A., Louisville, Kentucky: March, 1984 to July, 2016
Senior Vice President, PNC Asset Recovery Team
Responsible for the development of rehabilitation and exit strategies for criticized credit relationships
from the commercial lending activities in the Louisville and St Louis markets with management
responsibility for seven staff employees, including adherence to all regulatory and internal policies.
My responsibility center was responsible for the direct management of over $300MM in classified
loans and consultation on an additional $100MM. My team of 4 professionals showed positive
results and produced a significant reduction in these asset pools without incurring undue losses or
incurring any adverse market reputational risk concerns.
In 2013 I established a collection operation for charged off loans with balances over $1MM. This
effort has resulted in recoveries and income pickup of over $110MM in the 3 years of operation. As a
part of this effort I established a method for tracking judgments for use with commercial and real
estate loans on the PNC commercial loan system and instructed both operations and the bank wide
asset recovery team on its use.
Managed both the Louisville and Cincinnati markets from 1997 to 2001, instituting initiatives that
reduced the Cincinnati market’s portfolio criticized asset portfolio from $34MM to $17MM while
reducing staff from six to two. During this same period I also oversaw similar staff reductions in the
Louisville market without a reduction in account resolution.
Member of the market leadership team advising on market initiatives as well as market challenges.
Served as a board member of the PNC Foundation for the Kentucky market making decisions on
foundation charitable gifts.
First National Bank, Louisville, Kentucky
