My Passion
1. C. Describe a time when you took a great risk. What was the outcome?
My dream was to study fashion design, but at the end i finished studying Business Administration because i always
thought this career will be a complement for my passion. Through my studies I acquired several tools that currently are
and will be a good feedback for my future in my professional field, however, through my career preparation my passion
persisted lively. Therefore, I decided to register in fashion designing classes parallel with the university. In 2011, I took
the final decision to invest my savings to create my own brand of clothing “Femme”. My first models were sold
successfully at university and my brand began to gain popularity. Nevertheless, in the end I was not able to continue
producing new models since I had to prioritize my studies.
After finishing university, I had the opportunity to know and to work with people from different cultures in 3M and
Samsung. This experience pushed me to go back to fashion designing and began to design formal dresses for parties.
Having had the experience with “Femme”, I consider that my professional goal is open a boutique by using the tools
already learnt through my professional career as Business Administrator. Somehow, this will be fulfilled with my life in
the corporative world. In this sense, one of the most important goals I am willing to achieve in the IMBA is to shape and
develop my entrepreneur spirit. To be exposed in an international environment that this program offers will let me go
further to develop new skills and competence which will be very useful to put in practice in my passion.
