This letter is to recommend Corinna Ward from her internships with Batik Boutique in Malaysia in summer
2015 & 2016.
Corinna’s most valuable chracteristics in these internships were her drive to take action along with her
willingness to be flexible. For example, even though she didn’t have experience in making websites, she
took the initiative to learn each elemnt required to redo our site. She managed the creation of the new
website and learned such tools as Google Analytics, HTML, Shopify e-commerce, SEO, instagram, etc.
She also learned to edit pictures using Adobe Photoshop.
In additon to these technical skills, she learned our accounting systemand helped input receipts and create
invoices to track our finacnes. She wrote grant and competition applications, and re-wrote all of the
content on our website.
Corinna also used creative skills such as planning and styling a photo shoot,styling retail spaces, and
helping to create new products. She also was happy to help package and label products, prepare fabric for
dyeing, asssit in photography,assist in customer relations, and interview seamstresses in the language,
Bahasa Melayu.
In short, Corinna is a great team player, quick learner, and an asset to any organization. We recommend
her to any othercompany who has the opportunity to work with her.
