2. Denifition
A computer is a programmable machine designed to automatically
carry out a sequence of arithmetic or logical operations. The
particular sequence of operations can be changed readily,
allowing the computer to solve more than one kind of problem.
The interface between the computer and the human operator is
known as the user interface. A user interface is the system by which
people (users) interact with a machine.
The user interface includes hardware (physical) and software
(logical) components. A user interface is the system by which
people (users) interact with a machine. The user interface includes
hardware (physical) and software (logical) components.

3. Software
Computer software or just software, is a collection of
computer programs and related data that provides the
instructions for telling a computer what to do and how
to do it.
Software refers to one or more computer programs and
data held in the storage of the computer for some
purposes.
In other words, software is a set of programs,
procedures, algorithms and documentation concerned
with the operation of a data processing system.

4. Software
Program software performs the function of the program
it implements, either by directly providing instructions to
the computer hardware or by serving as input to
another piece of software.
Software is also sometimes used in a more narrow sense,
meaning application software only.

5. Hardware
Computer hardware refers to the physical parts of a
computer and related devices. Internal hardware
devices include motherboards, hard drives, and RAM.
External hardware devices include monitors, keyboards,
mice, printers, and scanners.
The internal hardware parts of a computer are often
referred to as components, while external hardware
devices are usually called peripherals. Together, they all
fall under the category of computer hardware.

6. Components
A general purpose computer has four main
components:
the arithmetic logic unit (ALU),
the control unit,
the memory,
The input and output devices (I/O). These parts
are interconnected by busses, often made of
groups of wires.
