Pre Production
For pre production we used many different technologies including Facebook
Messenger, Photoshop, Wix, WhatsApp, Blogger, Youtube and other similar
websites. For the website we needed not only to use these websites for
contacting and posting but also to hyperlink from the actual website to our
artists page on whatever social media we wanted it to.
2. Pre Production
For pre production of the website one of the main technologies we
used was google to look at other websites. For example during the
time we were researching websites we went on to google and looked
at similar artist’s websites. When we looked at these websites we took
into account how they were layout, what sort of stuff they had on and
how we could use them to build our website and make it original but
still sticking to the genre. This helped us a lot because it showed us
how to come across the right target audience and show certain
elements to them.
3. Pre Production
Another technology we used for research and planning of our website
was youtube. We used this to research how to make our website
stand out compared to other websites and how to properly build one.
You can find various tutorials on youtube about building a website on
Wix and we watched some of these tutorials and took into account
what would work and what wouldn’t. It also helped us to see what was
boring to do as a website and what would catch the eye of the target
audience
4. Production
For production of the website the main technology we used was
photoshop to get the right images to look good on our website. So for
example the back logo of our website we edited before in photoshop
to go with the whole website and make it relevant to our genre
convention. Photoshop was very useful to help us create a good
feeling for our website and grab our target audiences attention even
more through editing photos to suit our artist and website.
5. Post Production
The main technology we used for post production of the website was
Wix. This was the most crucial technology we had to use to make our
website because without it, it would be impossible. We used Wix to
create our whole website from scratch and added every single piece of
information we needed to put on to it such as: contact information, links
to social media, photos of artist, new songs, tickets and many more. For
Wix you have to be very precise and thorough to get everything you
need on to it and how you want it displayed. It was definitely the most
effective technology for the website because it helped us show the target
audience how we wanted the artist to be portrayed through it.
