2. Adobe Photoshop:
I used Photoshop firstly to edit the
images I had taken on my
Photoshop and wanted to use in my
magazine. I would edit them by
altering the brightness and contrast
to make the pictures look a better
quality.
I also used Photoshop in order to create my front
cover, double page spread and contents page. I
found that by using Photoshop, it was very easy
to organise all the images and text that I needed
and also create things such as text boxes using
this technology.
3. Dafont.com
I used a website called dafont.com
which is a font generator. I wanted to
use this for the text used on my
magazine and also my magazine logo
as it looks very professional and there
was a large variety of texts of different
styles to choose from.
I also used dafont.com to look for
pictures that I could use somewhere on
my magazine, for example on my logo
to make my logo recognisable in some
way. I found a picture of a vinyl record,
vintage cd player and also some sound
scales and incorporated them into my
4. Microsoft Powerpoint
When using dafont.com I
needed to use
Powerpoint in order to
help me create the logo.
I’d screenshot the
different fonts onto a
blank slide and use that
space them to organise
them into a order which I
liked. I used this to crate
a range of different idea
s and then it was clear
for me to pick my
favourite.Powerpoint was an extremely useful tool and was also very easy to use I have a lot
of past experience using it throughout school and college.
5. Youtube
I used Youtube on my blog to
post my audience profiles. I
did this in order to use
another type of media instead
of just text and images. I also
felt that this would be more
interesting and provide
greater detail in my audience
profiles.
As I have never uploaded any videos to Youtube before, I had to learn how to do so.
The uplaoding procedure was fairly straight forward
6. Wix.com
In order to create an online blog I used Wix. At first I found it quite hard to
use this website as it is quite complex. However, after a while I managed to
get the hang of it and use the features it offered to their maximum potential.
Although it was tricky in the beginning, I feel that Wix has made my blog
look extremely professional and to a very high standard.
