following this idea is important to know what kind of
paragraph is to be used according to what they want to
express.
Spelling, grammar, punctuation and knowledge on writing, are
keys for the reader to properly interpret the contents of a
text.
3. WHATISAPARAGRAPH?
Is a sentence or group of sentences that support one main idea.
A paragraph is a series of sentences that are organized and coherent, and are all related
to a single topic. Almost every piece of writing you do that is longer than a few
sentences should be organized into paragraphs. This is because paragraphs show a
reader where the subdivisions of an essay begin and end, and thus help the reader see
the organization of the essay and grasp its main points.
4. Commoncharacteristicsofparagraphs
Good Language: Vocabulary, Correct puntuation, gramatical
accuracy, variety of structures.
Support: supporting ideas, evidence, examples, details.
Unity: one main idea, topic sentence, other supporting
sentences.
Coherence: Well organized details, connection, using of
linkers and connectors.

- Descriptive: Function → To tell/to describe.
- Narrative: Function → To express/ to Entertain.
- Expository: Function → To Inform/ to explain.
- Persuasive: Function → To influence/ to persuade.

12. CONCLUSION
According to the type of style and writing , you must choose
the kind of paragraph to use , as each paragraph is created
to answer a specific structure within a text.
