1. Fade in:
EXT. York Bypass – Night
The scene is set out with two establishing shots – One foreshowing the
final scene of the crime and the next establishing the area a little more.
A woman who’s just finished at what we can just assume was a day at the
office is walking home (alone.) She appears to be a little anxious as the
nights quiet and dark. Not long after we’re introduced this character
(with tension being built up,) her phone starts ringing, causing her to
search her bag – filling the silence and becoming quite tense – furthered
by the call coming from an unknown number. Given time the woman picks up.
Woman:
“Hello? -”
In the distance there’s a shadowed figure dressed in all black, with
rubber gloves and a plain white art and crafts mask – holding a knife.
We then cut back to woman – revealing the call was from a colleague at
work.
Woman:
‘No, I just left work and I haven’t got any of the files on me. Why do you
need them?’
She Pauses. The tone in her voice sounding irritated.
Woman:
2. ‘Well sorry I left work half an hour ago and believe it or not, I would
like to see my family before the end of the night. I’ll talk to you
tomorrow.’
She hangs up the phone and shoves it back into her handbag.
Woman:
‘Bitch!’
Then she continues to walk again – whilst the shot flick between the woman
walking and a pair of feet walking as higher pace – belonging to the
shadowed figure.
Just as we get use to the formula of flicking between the two shot for
extended time, the last shot will be cut short as the figure comes out
from behind her and places a cloth over her mouth (chloroform.) Catching
her by surprise and her mouth being covered not allowing the woman to
really scream. Overtime her struggle becomes weaker as her lowers her body
to the ground.
In the distance somebody is just about to smoke when they see the figure
over her body.
Witness:
“He-Hey!? What you doing to her?”
He says with undertones of fear in their voice.
3. The figure then pulls up from the women's body, stepping over her body and
approaching the witness and shushing them – making them seem pore
intimidating.
Fade to black to:
