2. Plot Idea
‘Who’s next?’- It’s the weekend of Halloween and two
girls are left home alone for the weekend. The girls are
getting ready and see that on the news there’s a serial
killer on the lose. One of them makes a joke about it but
nothing more is said and they carry on getting ready.
Everyone turns up in there best Halloween costumes but
a mysterious group of people turn up in masks that are a
little more unusual than others. Next the music is cut off
by someone and someone is heard screaming upstairs.
The two main characters (the girls) go to look upstairs in
the bathroom and find a dead body. Everyone's left
wondering ‘who’s next?’

High angle shots of party scene
Over the shoulder shots as if people are being watched
Close ups of victims faces
Mid-shots of troughs in scene (low impact parts)
Establishing shots of the house
Over the shoulder shot of someone looking through the window of the house
Montage- Towards the end of the trailer. Shots of people screaming, shots of
masked killers individually in different places, shot of dead body, shot of someone
running down stairs screaming in fear, final close up shot of masked killers face then
fade to black and film subtitle on screen. One final shot of someone being dragged
away jump scare.
4. Editing
Titles throughout the trailer to inform the audience
e.g ‘This Halloween’
Slow Straight cuts at the beginning of the trailer to
show everyday life
Fade to black
Fast straight cuts for fast pace quick scenes at the
peaks within the trailer.

Heavy breathing
Screams
Sounds of party
Deep dark sounds to create and eerie atmosphere
Sound of music being cut off
Enhanced sounds at peaks in the narrative
6. Mise en scene
Detached modern house and inside of house
Police station to film news scene
Costumes- Formal wear of news reporter, Halloween
costumes for party people
