2. Initial Reaction
Unlike most of the previous games I've made
throughout media, I thought I'd like to follow a
more different approach to a game design โ in
which I'd like to make an open world RPG apposed
to a type of platformer.
Personally I find that I have a good enough standard
of art and animation skills โ along side previous
experience in pixelated games to make a good
standard game for this project.
6. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
โข In a lot of the images they either use blue (sticking with my underwater
theme,) or green โ however this is being because these images are set on
land โ with grass, trees and other greenery.
โข With a lot these images they us a lot of lighter tones for the RPGs, whilst
with the ones underwater based, they use higher contrasts in lighting โ
leaving more solute's...
โข As I was creating a mood board for a pixelated game design for this project
I researched two types of images โ some for the theme of underwater and
the other for pixelated art style and game type.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
โข From the images I've looking at I will be using some of the colour schemes
โ from the underwater images โ implementing a lot of the colours into my
colour pallet.
โข On top of this I may be using some of the styles from some of the games I
looked at โ like Zelda or Pokรฉmon โ as they're both tiled games, in which
use a good stylised, pixelate look to it.
