Employment Experience
Sullivan University Louisville, KY Admissions Team Lead 9/11 – 7/2012
● Works directly with both the Associate Director of Admissions and the Director of Admissions
processing feedback from the admissions team in order to implement appropriate professional
development for staff.
● Assists with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the Adult Admissions Team detailing the
productivity of individual admissions officers.
● Provides financial planning updates to the Associate Director of Admissions on a weekly basis
and investigates packaging statuses for accuracy.
● Assists Admissions Management in the creation and implementation of events and activities
(individualized Open Houses, Personally Developed Referral Projects, etc.) enhancing
productivity and ultimately moving the team closer to reaching individual and team goals.
● Conducts weekly team meetings with specialized admissions team (Admissions Officers
employed less than 2 years).
● Monitors the daily and weekly activity of a group of four admissions officers and reports
directly to the Associate Director of Admissions in regard to recruiting activities.
● Assists the Associate Director of Admissions in the execution of weekly accountability
meetings with individual admissions officers – acting as a ‘second voice’ and focusing on
recruiting skill development/training.
● Assisted in the development and implementation of the admissions training program for Adult
Admissions.
● Works closely with both the Associate Director of Admissions and the Admissions Special
Project Coordinator in the training of new hires for the Adult Admissions Day/Night School
Team as an Admissions Mentor.
● Directly assists the Associate Director of Admissions in the management of a team of four
admissions officers in a fair and supportive manner to ensure proper policy and procedural
guidelines are in place and to help create success amongst individuals and the team as a whole.
● Completed Dale Carnegie Leadership Training for Managers.
● Completed Dale Carnegie High Impact Presentations.

● Recruits prospective students and guides them through the process from exploration of the
University to their first day in class.
● Collaborates with all departments, management, students, and community resources to solve
problems and assist students while enriching and the student’s experience and help improve life
situations.
● Designated mentor of new employee hires within the adult admissions department.
● Assists with proofreading of University documents before submission and final production.
● Assists in the revision of academic and media documents for use in the student interview
process.
● Champion communicator for student prospects including phone work, person to person
interfacing, postcard development, e-mail, and text communication.
● Collector of information for student prospects; communicating with instructors to maintain
current course content.
● Attends college career fairs and job fairs in order to recruit prospective students and to collect
referrals above and beyond University supplied leads.
● Public speaker to groups of various sizes providing insight to college exploration and the
enrollment process.
● Designated champion of Spanish-speaking interfacing at the University, assisting person to
person as needed when Spanish language barriers are encountered.
● Provides phenomenal University tours and housing tours.
