3. JOURNEY TO REALITY
My groupmates and I planned to go to the Dulungin Beach
to take pictures for our activity in English. So, as we start
our journey, we first went to the market to get a ride but
unexpectedly we saw a lot of vendors who are facing their
challenges in life so we decided to ask them if it’s okay for
us to take a picture of them selling their products.
We made this because we knew that this situation is
interesting for the people to know what is happening right
now in reality and it’s often connected to our daily lives.
4. A 53-year-old vendor patiently waits for the customers
under the blazing heat of the sun
Because of her dedication and patience it resulted to a
good outcome where there are several customers who
bought her products.
5. A hard working vendor with a lot of costumers
It seems that if every vendor has the same attitude
of the vendor above, maybe they could easily sell
their products.
6. Small amount of fish are collected because of the bad
weather
A vendor is thinking on how much could she earn
money with this amount of fishes because she
needs money for her family’s daily needs.
7. Poverty forced the two children to sell their
chicken .
Because of poverty ,the two children are forced to
work in their own in their young age to own money
for themselves.
8. A fisherman tired making his fish net with his wife.
Despite of being tired in making fish net his wife comforted him with a
smile which makes him motivated to work harder.

11. As we continue our journey , we saw many people
who experience the same with the people in the
market. The same challenges, the same problem
but the only difference is the way how they deal
with it.
12. A farmer busy spreading pesticide in their land under
the strong heat of the sun.
Mang Iko, an eight-year hardworking farmer puts pesticides on the
“palay” during 11:45 am with no hesitation because he thought if he
would not be able to finish his work, his family could not eat for almost 1
month.
13. Hardworking farmers plants their seedlings under the
heat of the sun.
As we are challenged, we should have a true courage to overcome those
problems that we encounter even it is difficult or not . We need to accept
that these challenges may help us to be stronger.
14. A seven-year-old boy sacrifices his education to sustain
their lack of money by working in their land.
As we all know “ Education is the key to success” but this young boy
doesn’t believe on it. According to him it is better to work hard for your
own than to go to school. He believes that the only thing a human should
have are perseverance and determination enable to live.
15. Everybody might face their challenges
in life as they go farther to know their
strengths and weaknesses in life.
• As you can see in our pictures they have the same problems which are
usual to human being because those problems are part of our lives.
Poverty is one of the major major problem in our community, but it
depends on us on how we can deal with it. Those situations in the picture
make us realize that it is not easy living in reality and it taught us that
despite of these challenges we need to be happy .
• True courage is pursuing your dream even when everyone else says it’s
impossible.
