Provided tools to support 150 – 200 projects and portfolio management across School
Line of Business, aligning to Pearson’s global strategy.
Assisted development of network of 10 School Project Management Offices into team,
applying enough uniformity of process for visibility, connecting team to Pearson’s
global project and portfolio management efforts.
Oversaw Pearson School’s Project Management Academy program, developing project
management capability and community within Pearson, delivering training services
valued at $76K in year 1.
Partnered with Workforce Education product division, establishing project
management professional (PMP) and certified associate in project management
(CAPM) training with potential cost savings of $700K.
Developed and improved project management visibility through metrics capture and
analysis.
Sponsored and guided development of Pearson School’s 2nd-generation Risk and Issue
Tracking Tool, modernizing and enhancing risk and issue tracking throughout project
lifecycle and incorporating early warning to executives for sensitive issues.
Sponsored and guided continuing development of Pearson School’s Project Metrics for
Program Managers (PM4PM) business intelligence tool, providing business-critical
information to project managers and portfolio stakeholders, using business
intelligence model to address many systems in place across organization.
Delivered advance notice of schedule deviation, resource constraints, risks and issues
(heat maps), and visibility both to trends and statistical process control data for
Pearson’s School Assessment Business.
