PROFILE
I have worked with eir, formerly eircom and Telecom Eireann since leaving secondary school. I
have worked in a wide variety of mainly administrative roles and have gained a vast experience in
many aspects of business life. I recently availed of a voluntary severance offer and am now
seeking a new employment opportunity, preferably of a part time nature. My knowledge and
experience covers a very broad spectrum and I have used Microsoft Excel, Word and a variety of
other IT systems for many business applications.
I would describe myself as reliable, flexible and conscientious with a strong focus on completing
tasks promptly and to a high standard. I can work as part of a team but when the need arises am
self motivated and self disciplined.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
Management and development of the company’s Purchase Card system allowing
employees to process small value purchases without the need for Purchase Orders.
Management and development of an online document signature system – Docusign -
allowing contracts and other legal documents to be promptly and legally electronically
signed.
Supplier account management with a view to achieving lowest prices and at the same
time ensuring best quality goods and services.
CAREER HISTORY

Management of the company’s Purchase Card system, see above. This system had a
number of advantages including prompt order and payment thereby satisfying key
business requirements.
Managing and maintaining an efficient supplier contract management system. This was
key to ensuring that relevant management and staff had immediate access to contractual
documents.
Other duties included negotiation and processing of Non Disclosure Agreements,
assessment and ranking of supplier tenders, and supplying inputs to management
reports.
Billing Quality Manager, eircom Ltd 1999 - 2005
Quality and accuracy of customer billing.
Assessment and recommendation of an outsource supplier. Supervision of the outsource
process including the minimising of potential industrial issues.
Working with the successful outsource supplier to develop business and ensure revenue
completion.
Part of the Euro changeover team ensuring accurate and seamless billing changeover.
Part of the Y2K project team ensuring seamless changeover.

2. I worked in a number of different areas within the same company. These areas included
Financial Accounting, Financial Controller of a subsidiary, Advertising and Marketing, and
Customer Services. This gave me a very broad knowledge of business operations.

I have wide experience in many IT systems. These include Microsoft Office: Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook and Explorer, also Docusign, Photoshop, etc.,
INTERESTS
My interests include photography, history and travel. Iam also a member of a large rugby club. I
have, and still do, act in a number of administrative roles within this club. I was Hon Secretary for
many years and Club President in 2002. These roles gave me valuable experience in a range of
business type activities including problem solving, meeting deadlines, meeting skills and decision
making.
