Lead the Manufacturing Engineering Group (14 Engineers, 2 Managers), whose responsibility included designing the
Processes & Equipment for the Automated Assembly & Testing of Electrical Components (Instrument Clusters) for the
Automotive Industry. Heavy focus on error proofing (Poke-Yoke) through the use of Sensors, Vision Systems, and
Automated Testing. Focus also placed on Reduction of Labor Cost through Process Improvement, Line Balance,
Automation, and Continuous Improvement. Also Responsible for Justification & Implementation of Capital Equipment
for New Model and Improvement Projects.
Average of 8 New Model Launch’s per year during this period.
Use of AutoCAD (2D) to study Line & Plant Layout to optimize Efficiency.
Work Closely with Maintenance for Continual Downtime Reduction. Averaged 8% annual reduction over 5 year’s.
