The Role
The Bid Manager role is critical to the achievement of business objectives and will directly influence
the growth and reputation of the business. The role holder is responsible for supporting the
development of new business opportunities through key client identification and engagement and
dramatically increasing the success rate of our bids.
Duties
 Managing the preparation, completion and submission of bids, proposals and submissions.
 Ensuring that all bids, submissions and proposals are of the highest quality of content and
presentation, and are submitted correctly and on time.
 Coordination of the activities of bid teams including dedicated bid resources (e.g. Commercial
Manager, Bid Administrator) and operational resources allocated to support specific bids.
 Identifying and where possible developing new business opportunities passing them to operational
leads within the relevant Sectors.
 Introducing innovation in processes, systems and services to ensure my client establishes and
maintains competitive advantage.
Essential
 Previous Construction experience. Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
 Confident and articulate communicator.
 Work under own initiative, making decisions to benefit the client.
 Good attention to detail.
 Competent on Microsoft Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint & Outlook.
Desirable
 Educated to degree level or equivalent.
 Highly motivated by personal achievement.
