Separable vs. Inseparable
Some phrasal verbs can be
separated…
For example:
I will add up the total.

but some cannot!
For example:
The teacher never calls
on you in class.

The teacher never calls

NOT OK!
Blow up
Definition (I):
To inflate; fill with air
(Separable)
I blew up all the balloons for the party.
I blew all the balloons up for the party.
