Captivating Charm: Exploring Marseille's Hillside Villas with Our 3D Architec...
9-4 Slide Designs
1. Goals, Audience, Message
Goal: To have my audience adopt a cat or dog from an animal shelter to help save
money.
Audience: My audience is adults who are looking into getting a dog or cat. Mainly
adults that are together or married and looking to find a pet as a part of their
family.
Message: There are many animals waiting to be adopted into a family and there
are many financial benefits to adopting. One example is that spaying/neutering is
already done at the animal shelter which save them money.
2. Save Money, Save a Companion
Before animals can only be adopted
from a shelter after they are spayed or
neutered. Shelters do this to help
decrease the growing animal
population. The cost of spaying or
neutering is included in the adoption
fee of the animal. According to
CostHelper, for cats neutering can
cost between $50 to $100 and
spaying can cost between $100 to
$200 depending on the veterinarian.
The procedure for dogs depends on
the size of it.
3. First Design
This was my first design. I did a little research about the topic
to refer to cost. I wanted to find an image that adults would
be drawn to thinking it was cute. I didn’t want a white
background so I changed it to light blue and the title was the
last thing I came up with after reading what I wanted my
audience to see.
4. Save Money, Save a Companion
Did you know that when you adopt from an animal shelter
they already have the animal spayed or neutered? According
to CostHelper, for cats neutering can cost between $50 to
$100 and spaying can cost between $100 to $200 depending
on the veterinarian. It’s harder to average a cost for dogs
because chihuahuas don’t cost the same as saint bernards to
get fixed. From the moment that wet nose touches your skin,
they’re ready to go home!
5. Design Changes
For my second design I wanted to change the color scheme
to be more vibrant and to associate more with love (i.e. red).
With this color change, I mainly focused on the text color for
both the body text and the title. Also, I wanted to try
something different with the graphic I chose to use by making
it transparent behind the text.

7. Design Changes
This slide was for week 6 for contrast. I wanted the main
contrast to be the heading and the sub-headings. Using a
deep-purple/red color. I changes the photo to be just a cat
and I split up my body text into two distinct paragraphs of text.

9. Design Changes
This design was also for week 6 but this slide focused on
repetition. I chose the golden retriever as the photo for this
one. The title and subtitles have the same text but the title is
just a little bigger than the subtitles. Body text is also the
same for both paragraphs.

11. Final Design
This is my final design. The title and subtitles use the same font
but there is contrast of color difference between them. The coral
pink and deep green colors that I based from the photo are
complementary. The font used for the title and subtitles is Bree
Sarif which has a much heavier weight than the body text font of
Josefin Slab. All of the text is left-aligned and in close proximity to
the photo of the golden retriever. There is repetition between the
titles with color blocking and the body text with no color blocks.
