Late/Missing Work - Standards Mastery
● Syllabus communicates opportunities for make-up and
completing assignments (LASSO and Lunch and Learn)
● Content Teams should have the same process for
grading assessments,
● Please include:
○ “As your teacher, I will hold you responsible for
late work and missing assignments by labeling
them as MISSING in Student Portal. In an effort
to create opportunities for all students to turn
in late or missing assignments, LASSO will be
available on Saturdays throughout each semester
as well as Lunch and Learn support available
daily.”

10. Late/Missing Work - Student Behavior
● LATE ASSIGNMENTS may not result in point deductions. The
following procedures are in place for communicating behavioral
issues within the classroom.
● Teacher will Communicate Missing Assignments with Student
(document)
● May be assigned before/after school, through LASSO, and also
provided through Lunch and Learn
● Teacher will Communicate with Parent (Phone Call Home where
you have confirmed with the family the plan for completion)
● Teacher may then assign Lunch and Learn (mandatory) until
assignment is satisfactorily completed-use new form!
● Should a student fail to report to mandatory Lunch and Learn,
teachers should complete a disciplinary referral for
insubordination
● Reflect behaviors in Work Habits Section
of Infinite Campus

• Professional Learning Communities are an integral
part of the GaPSC professional learning expectations.
• All individuals who hold a GaPSC certificate are
required to participate in Professional Learning
Communities as part of the recertification
requirements.
Teachers will be receiving information in the form of a tri-fold
Content Teams - core work happens here - most valuable and most insightful element of communication in a school of our size - they are the ENGINE!
Need to establish Procedures/Guidelines to help streamline the communication process so that they can prioritize the most important issues and provide the most insightful feedback to drive the organizational decisions.
Lead UP! they inform the department chairs; department chairs inform APs and Admin Team with their feedback to allow us to make decisions that are timely and responsive.
Content team lead option to document in the TKES platform concerning emphasis or direction of team….meeting every semester
Shared with all staff….please check that you (the teachers) can access it and if you can’t, let Brian Daughtery know.
Also - reminder that IEPs and 504s are not optional meetings
OCR issues with SpEd and ESOL re: point deductions for late work
The dept meeting today, pre-planning meetings will count as the TKES orientation. As soon as the platform opens admin will enter the orientation details.
New to FOCO= Full (at least 1 year, esp if Flex previous district assignment)
New Teacher = FULL for three years: Clear Renewable Certification Process from GaPSC
Veteran Teacher = Flex
PL roll out during August 14th planning period meetings
PLC participation opportunities through the survey
Anytime you can upload supporting documentation to the TKES platform - you can upload documentation ANYTIME prior to the March deadline
Coaching - Mentoring - Sponsoring: upload schedules, links to websites, overview
Will need to complete the orientation and self-assessment in the platform - Scott Dean will email staff when this is available
