• In order to be able to assist in the NHS24 implementation, he needed to understand the client requirements and how the
contract implementation would affect the field engineering teams. Keith also needed to understand how our internal
processes work and be able to have processes put in place in order for us to deliver the required solution for the client. This
was achieved by working closely with the SDM and wider teams involved in the service implementation. Keith has participated
in a number of conference calls and meetings as well as reviewing the build process onsite and reviewing the build
documentation.
•
• For the discussions involving the implementation of a new software solution and automated software and call control system,
He needed to understand the way the engineering teams, ERC systems and logistics systems operate within the business. His
experience allowed him to bring forward information, ideas and suggestions for the new systems implementation with a view
to making its implementation and its application into the business as smooth as possible.

• Technical Abilities and Updating
•
• Keith has been on various courses during the last 12 months and has successfully completed all the examinations for his
continued professional development and has continued to increase his certifications beyond the standard requirements of the
field engineering level.
• Keith has been tasked with a continuation of his network training for Juniper networks and has completed all the entry level
steps for this training course and examinations. He has also undertaken to complete his HP ASE certification thus increasing his
level of skill well beyond the standard of the engineering function.
• His technical knowledge and ability have been evident throughout his time as an engineer and AR and continue to grow as he
develops.
• Keith and I, expect this to continue as he develops his networking skills and expertise in order to move up through the
engineering ranks within BT.

• Support Function to the Team during normal Technical Issues in the Field
•
• Keith’s Technical skill has been, and continues to be, a useful resource for the area and the other engineers in
the Northern team. Being able to not only train, but also give support across the engineering function to the
engineers within BT, can only be seen as a boost for those who find they need support on the ground within the
company's areas.
• As discussed, it can be confirmed that the engineers are happy to take advice and consult with their AR, Keith
Margetts, with regards to technical issues and will feedback to Keith with regard to any concerns they may have.

• Training Function as an on-going Team Member
•
• Keith has accepted and been involved in training the other engineers on Cisco network installs, and though time
constraints and engineering availability, have meant that it has not been as complete as it could have been, he
continues to try and schedule these in between his own duties and training that he has to complete.
• This is a role which both Keith and I think he can develop and improve on as he grows within the training roles he has
taken on within BT.

• AR Duties and Performance in Role
•
• During his time as AR for the NORTH, Keith has displayed a good understanding of the business itself and the way in which it should be run to minimize risk and cost/loss
within the company.
• As discussed, he has taken on the role wholeheartedly and has always been available to myself or other departments/managers who need help with or actions to
resolve issues within the business.
• He has more recently been involved in a group who has been given a project to do for the Directors of BT, to resolve some issues within the Managed Services Division
with regards to staff perception and attitude, and continues to put forward presentations and observations/solutions as and when he can, rather than when asked.
• Currently he has put together a team weekly newsletter which has attempted to lift the mood within the team and has chaired the new weekly Conference Calls with
the engineers and their Control teams, to bring them all together and improve on communications etc. within that team. The uptake on these calls has been good and
with the requests being followed up and answered within a week, the team believes that they will here back swiftly on what they have been asking about information
on. The con Calls are reported in the weekly newsletter for those who do not make it on to the con call itself.
•
• Currently Keith's performance within the role is excellent, and is a dependable part of the management team for BT within the company and the Northern Team. His
response under pressure is good and it is true to say that he can alleviate the stress and issues surrounding the operational aspects without letting it get to him too
much.
• Definitely a team player and able to lead the team and take control when he needs to. He will always present a solution if presented with an issue and will be part of
that solution as well as using his delegation skills to utilize the team and resource available.

• I have confidence in Keith’s ability to back management up and take over when required and if asked to complete a task, fully
expect it to be delivered well and on time.
• He is a credit to the company and I expect him to do well and move on through the management team within BT, in this both
myself and Keith are assured and sure that he will achieve his potential within BT.
