Audience Feedback
1.
2. ARE YOU MALE OR FEMALE?
The target audience was initially
aimed at both males and
females, and as the results
show, seven females and 3
males have answered the
questionnaire, so it captured the
attention of both.
3. HOW OLD ARE YOU?
I wanted to aim my
magazine at people
between the ages of 17
and 30, as the content in
the magazine varies
between 80’s rock and
modern rock, so there is
something for everyone.
As the results show, I got
responses from each age
group, which is good, but
the most common age
was 30+, which shows
that my content should be
aimed at them mostly , as
this is the most popular
age group.
4. DO YOU THINK MY MAGAZINE WOULD STAND OUT ON THE SHELF
IN A SHOP?
As the results show, everyone
who responded to the survey
thought that my magazine cover
would stand out in a shop. This
would be because of the colour
scheme (Red, Black and Grey)
and the front cover image, which
features a rock artist with an
electric guitar, which the target
audience would associate with
rock music.
5. WHAT GENRE DO YOU THINK MY MAGAZINE IS?
As the results show, everyone
asked thought the genre of
magazine was rock. This would
be correct as the masthead on
the front cover is ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll’.
Also the colour scheme also
suggests the genre as the
colours used are dark, which
would make the target audience
think of rock music.
6. DO YOU THINK THE COLOUR SCHEME SUITS MY FRONT PAGE?
As the results show, all respondents
thought my colour scheme suited my
front page. The colours I used for
cover lines and the masthead were
black and red as they worked well
against the colours used in the main
image, so they stood out and
appealed to the target audience.
7. IS MY CONTENTS PAGE EASY TO NAVIGATE?
As the results from the questionnaire
show, everyone who responded
thought that my contents page was
easy to navigate. Whilst creating my
contents page, I changed the page
numbers to red, so that they stood
out from the article information and
were easier for the target audience
to find. I also separated the regular
content and feature articles, so the
page was easier for the audience to
navigate.
8. DOES MY DOUBLE PAGE SPREAD APPEAR PROFESSIONAL?
As the results show, everyone
who responded thought that my
double page spread looked
professional. Whilst creating the
page, I bled the main image
across the two pages, so that it
ended just before the article
started, so that it would grab the
audience’s attention instantly. I
also changed the colour of the
standfirst and pull quotes, so that
the audience could identify them
from the main article.
9. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE TEXT ON MY DOUBLE PAGE
SPREAD?
As the results show,
everyone thought there
was the right amount of
text on my double page
spread. Whilst importing
text to my double page
spread, I ensured that the
text was broken up by
pull quotes, so that it
would be easier for the
target audience to read.
10. IS MY PRICE SUITABLE?
My magazine costs £2.20, and as
the results of my questionnaire
show, respondents thought that
this price was suitable. The price
also enable my magazine to
compete with already established
magazines, such as Kerrang! and
Rock Sound.
11. WOULD YOU BUY MY MAGAZINE?
As the results show, everyone
who responded to my
questionnaire said they would
buy my magazine. This would be
because of the content featured
and the overall look of the
magazine, so there is something
to suits everyone's interests.
