This document discusses audience demographics for various media products. It explains that media producers categorize their target audience by attributes like age, gender, and ethnicity to better understand who will consume their product. Several examples are given of common audience demographics for different types of media like news shows, movies, magazines, and games. The document also includes an activity for students to compare their own media consumption diaries and analyze patterns in what media they use, when, where, and with whom.
