ASSIGNMENT QUESTION
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this assignment is to assess the learner's ability to conduct a child's
observation and record information regarding the child's behaviour, learning and
development.
PART I
QUESTION 1: CHILD’S OBSERVATION (20 MARKS)

Record your observation data using anecdotal records and refer to Figure 5.2 Example of an
anecdotal record on page 139 in the Assessment in Early Childhood Education ebook by Sue
Wortham. The ebook is attached to the MyINSPIRE course page.
QUESTION 2: CHILD’S OBSERVATION REPORT (30 MARKS)
You are required to interpret the observation data that you have collected. Analyse your
observation data and determine the girl's skills, learning or development. Write a report and
discuss your findings in detail with relevant support. Provide a conclusion and suggest
actions to respond to the findings. Write the advantages of using anecdotal record in your
observation.
PART II
ONLINE CLASS PARTICIPATION (10 MARKS)
This part requires you to participate actively in the myINSPIRE eforum. Discuss the following
questions in the forum and submit proof of your participation in the eforum online
discussions.
1. Discuss the various types of assessment methods and tools, as well as the
advantages and disadvantages associated with each method and tool.
2. How infants and young children should be assesed.

data pemerhatian anda dan tentukan kemahiran, pembelajaran atau perkembangan kanak-
kanak perempuan itu. Tuliskan laporan dan bincangkan dapatan anda dengan terperinci

dilakukan berdasarkan dapatan.
