This document provides information on conjugating verbs in the simple past, present, and future tenses in Spanish. It discusses:
1) How the simple past tense is formed by adding "-ed" to the base verb form and gives examples of affirmative and negative constructions.
2) How the future simple is formed using "will/shall" plus the base verb form and examples of affirmative, negative, and interrogative constructions.
3) How the present simple is formed using the base verb form for first person subjects and adding "-s" for third person subjects, along with examples of affirmative, negative, and interrogative sentences.
2. Pasado Simple – (Simple Past Tense)
The Simple Past tense is used to describe actions that have happened
at an earlier time and have already done, for example:
Is formed with the base form of the verb adding the ending '_Ed'.
When we talk about the basis we refer to the infinitive form without
the preposition 'to', ie, the verb 'to watch' how base would 'watch', and
the way past would be 'watched'.
• She cleaned her house. Ella limpió su casa.
• I broke the window. Yo rompí la ventana.
3. Pasado Simple Affirmative
AFIRMATIVA: Para formar la afirmativa ponemos la forma base con
'_ed'.
SUJETO + VERBO CON -ED + RESTO DE FRASE
EXAMPLE:
Ellas hablaron ayer.
They talked yesterday.
We should note that the 3rd person singular (he, she, it) does not
change, so we will use the same
Él perdió la guagua.
He missed the bus.
4. The Future Simple
The simple (Future Simple) English future forms with the structure:
SUBJECT + will / Shall + VERB
Note: The auxiliary Shall only used for the first person singular and
plural. While the auxiliary can be used will in all cases.
As an example of the conjugation of the simple future, consider the
verb to work (work):
5. Negación en el Futuro simple
The denial of the future is done by simply adding the adverb will not
between the auxiliary and the verb:
SUBJECT + will + not + VERB

a "-s" to end of the verb.
