During the first trimester of development, the baby's major organs and body structures begin to form through the process of gastrulation. By the end of the trimester, the fetus is about 3cm long and can move its limbs and turn its head. In the second trimester, the baby grows to about 25cm long and half a kilogram by the end. Its face is fully formed and the mother can feel it kicking. In the final trimester, the baby is nearly ready to be born, weighing around a pound and measuring 10 inches long. Mothers experience strong emotions as delivery approaches around weeks 40-42.

3. 1st trimester
• After 3 weeks theirs a process called
gastrulation.
• Ectoderm (outer layer) – Forms the skin &
nervous system.
• Endoderm (Inner layer) – Forms the digestive
track & lungs .
• Mesoderm (Middle layer) – Forms most of the
other organs.

4. • Theirs something called Amniotic membrane
which protects the baby from impact wile in
the first stages of forming . The York sack
membrane produces the first blood cells.
From week 9 until birth the baby is called the
fetus. At 9 weeks the fetus is approximately
3cm long. It has mostly their little body
formed mostly all the major parts . By the end
of the 1st trimester the baby can move it’s &
legs , Also turn its head frown & make socking
motions .

5. 2nd trimester
• During weeks 12-23 the baby is 25cm long. By
the of this period it weight about 0.5kg & its
face is complete you can easily hear its
heartbeat  .You can feel it move from kicks
to pokes , because most of the space is take
now it would change position to the position
that is called the fetal position. Usually there
is an important change in hormones by the
placentas.

6. • At this stage you can see a better
development of the head , arms & legs is
visible. During this trimester you can
determine weather the baby is a girl or s boy.
It will weight nearly a pound. & is about 10 ½
from head to toe. The baby by the end of the
trimester will react to the environment such
as touch & sound. The baby’s eyes will open &
it ill look around the womb.

7. 3rd trimester
• Mothers often experience conflict of emotions
it’s lasting from 27 weeks to delivery . Which is
around week 40-42 at 35 weeks your baby
would be about 16inches long. At this point
the baby is ready for the world the baby has a
99% of being born in 35 weeks . The baby will
decrease movement , don’t be alarm the baby
is ok it’s just getting ready to come out to their
new life . Your delivery might take up to 12-14
hours .

8. • Is a good idea to start taking child birth classes
especially for new mommies & daddy's . This
is not the easiest trimester because reality is
catching up your about to have a new born
baby . But hey is the most rewarding thing
because all dose mood swings & eating & not
sleeping nights will be worth it because you
have your baby & it’s healthy as can be . Enjoy
