Tripod
The tripod that we have used is sturdy and reliable,
when the telescopic legs are fully extended it stands at
a good height for eye level filming.
We did encounter a few set up issues when we first
used it because the clips on the legs were stiff. But over
time they loosened making it easy to set up and take
down.
Camera
Canon SLR EOS 600D
I have had some previous experience using SLR
cameras but over the last few months I have really got
to grips with using the camera and its features. The
camera can shoot stills and video (including audio) with
quality and accuracy.

Mac
Once you get used to the Mac it is quite easy to use and it is very versatile. We did
encounter some issues when we started using it because none of our group had much
experience using them. But after a short while we got used to the controls and were
able to use it to its full ability.
Final Cut Express
When we first started using Final Cut Express we found it
quite hard to use. But when we started working on our
Preliminary Task we managed to use it more quickly and
fluidly. Looking back on that task and our Opening
Sequence I can see that my skills using FCE have
developed significantly through practice and
demonstrations from peers and teachers.
It is a very good site which allows you to do a wide variety
of effects and creations, from simple actions like cropping
visual and audio to adding movement to text and titles.
YouTube
I have previous experience using YouTube and I have my
own Channel, but during the filming and compilation of
our opening sequence I have used it a lot more than I
expected. I initially thought that we would put up our
Preliminary task, our rough cut and our final piece but
we put all of the raw footage up along with the
aforementioned. This has allowed me to become used
to and more comfortable using the site and its features.

It is a very easy website builder to use because
it has tutorials, hints and guides. It is very
versatile and contains a lot of useful and
essential features. I have easily learned the
main controls of the site and it has been easy
to find a solution to any problems that we
encountered.
