Mode of action: Enzymes

19. Longevity of Bio Enzyme / Probiotics
In a recent comparison of a conventional standard hard surface chemical cleaning product vs. Bio Tech GTX a probiotic
cleaning / sanitizing product was tested in a controlled laboratory environment and in an uncontrolled “real world”
setting.
• The monitoring of adenosine tri-phosphate (ATP) as an indication of cleanliness and an ATP determination assay was
used to compare the products.
• The cleaning products were monitored over a scheduled time period to determine their long lasting efficacy in
reducing the ATP levels.
• The scope of this study was to determine the longevity of cleaning and decreasing levels of contamination.
• Bio Tech GTX10 at a dilution of 1:10 reduced ATP levels in the laboratory test and maintained these low levels for 168
hours (7 days). It was also effective in reducing and maintaining low ATP levels in 10 out of 10 of the various surface
areas tested for the same period of time.
• ATP was monitored over a time period, namely 1 hour, 3 hours, 5 hours, and 24 hours and 168 hours

In Conclusion - from this study it can be seen that over
the various time periods Bio Tech GTX 10 FF diluted 1:10
displayed more superior cleaning efficacies than the
competitor for longer periods of time thus reducing the
