Objective
With 25 years of leadership experience and training in the military, business, and
education, I am seeking to lead a campus in continuous learning and improvement by systems
of visioning, strategy, evaluation, and support for all members to grow and flourish.
Accomplishments
Education
○ Served as Principal for Longview Early Graduation High School to relieve
another administrator during state testing preparation, staff evaluations, and
graduation ceremonies.
○ Launched and led the Freshman Initiative to reduce the failure rate of students
from over 50% to under 5% for over 600 students at Longview High School.
○ Raised campus student performance in End of Course exams from once
unacceptable to a 93% campus rating with distinctions.
○ Created and refine systems in a Discipline Center to align systems, improve
behavior, and reduce the discipline incidents on a campus of over 2,000
students,. Lowered the DAEP placements by half, while creating a safe, positive
learning environment and freeing manpower for more instructional leadership.
○ Lead campus staff development and manage data feedback and collaboration
systems for instructional improvement.
○ Developed and led a professional learning community that raised overall
student performance as Academic Dean and then Associate Principal of
Marshall High School.
○ Launched and manage multiple district communication methods and social
media to better connect the school and the district with the community .
○ Initiated and preside over the board of a growing Boys and Girls Club chapter
serving multiple school districts in order to provide after-school programs for
students.
○ Finishing a Doctorate of Educational Leadership in 2017 with a dissertation
focus in team learning.
○ As a Hispanic educational leader, I serve as liaison for Spanish speaking parents
and students and maintain a professional online community to research ways
to better serve a growing population.
Business
○ Conducted interviews for marketing research to inform business strategy.
○ Informed and served clients in bookkeeping and tax services.
○ Trained students in business and technology skills to be more competitive in
the marketplace.
2. Military
○ Rose from Private to Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, leading my combat tank
platoon to defeat a much larger enemy battalion on their training ground. Won
accolades in battalion inspection and revised and executed multiple and various
transportation exercises in foreign countries with zero accidents or losses.
○ Collected, analyzed, and reported military intelligence for commanders to make
decisions. Performance resulted in such success that the opposing intelligence
general officer was replaced.
