Dear Director,
I'm delighted to inform you why I'd be a great asset to your school. I am an
accomplished professional with a Master's Degree in Education, seven state
certifications in elementary education and special education, and vast experience in
the classroom as lead teacher along with leadership roles in family support settings.
I excel in the areas of creating and executing complex plans of action, maintaining
detailed documentation, and the ability to implement and proceed with unforeseen
changes and challenges, while maintaining a constant level of progress and
professional success. I am accomplished in translating and explaining complex and
multifaceted information while maintaining a nurturing, supportive, and positive
learning experience, understanding and demonstrating the importance of partnering
with parents, staff, and community members in order to effectively communicate the
progress and documentation of success of the school. I am also very knowledgeable
regarding state standards for testing, curriculum, school regulations, and the general
know-how of managing and maintaining a supportive, successful, and positive
environment for all.
My extensive teaching career includes vast experience in implementing interesting and
thought provoking lesson plans strategically set-up to ensure the fullest extent of
growth and capability among each of my students. I believe in goal oriented and
motivating classroom activities which aid the ability of advanced academics. I have
taught all subject areas, developing effective lesson plans and instructional materials to
use during whole class, small group, and individualized instruction. My ongoing
objective is to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student through the use of a
variety of instructional strategies. I have had measured success using inquiry based
learning, group discussion, hands on discovery, and formal and summative
assessment. I am successful at translating rich and time consuming lesson plans into
learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
My strong knowledge base and skill set are supported by over 10 years of wonderful
experience in the classroom and clinical setting, along with school and business
administration. I have also developed therapeutic sessions for children and parents in
schools, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Ronald McDonald House, and many other
organizations in Atlanta. This has given me the ability to successfully develop programs,
communicate with parents, staff, and children, perfect my personnel management
skills, develop strong parent relationships, recruit and support my staff, and create,
manage, and execute busy schedules, perfect my budget oversight, and always remain
a positive educator and team leader with the top schools and organizations in Atlanta.
Along with my classroom and business management skills, I'd also like to point out that
I am a strong team player having worked in both educational and educational
management roles. I thrive in environments in which I work with families, co-workers
and administration, always having the interest of the students' and the school's best
interest in mind. I assure you that my creativity and strong work ethic, accompanied by
my vast career experience, will lead our school and families on a very successful
journey.
