 Oversees the operation and management of multiple datacenters across
multiple locations.
 Oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various physical
and virtual server hardware and operating systems.
 Oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various network
and telecommunication systems. This includes but is not limited to the core,
edge, distribution, and wireless networks, and multiple TDM and VOIP telephony
systems.
 Responsible for the operation and management of various leased and owned
communication and network lines throughout the organization.
 Oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise storage
systems, including SAN, NAS, and storage networking and connectivity systems.
 Oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various database
management systems. This includes but is not limited to MSSQL, Oracle, and
Intersystems Cache.
 Oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server, network,
and infrastructure monitoring and management systems.
 Oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise backup
and recovery systems, including applicable client/server software and hardware.
 Sets established standardization and quality guidelines regarding the installation
of network, and infrastructure systems and cabling.
 Overall responsible for the accurate inventory of infrastructure hardware and
devices.
 Overall responsible for the physical security of all infrastructure hardware and
devices, in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
 Manages and maintains proper documentation for all infrastructure hardware
and systems. Sets appropriate documentation standards and guidelines for the
infrastructure teams.
 Ensures that infrastructure team staff utilizes current IT Help Desk software to
ensure end user and/or system generated incidents (tickets) are logged,
dispatched, escalated, and resolved efficiently to minimize user and system
downtime.
 Sets and establishes guidelines for system change control and system event
reporting. Ensures that changes are approved, implemented, and documented
according to published and approved guidelines.
 Supports the IT department and other hospital departments during system
upgrades and go-live events.
 Overall responsible for all enterprise data backup and recovery systems,
ensuring that backups are routinely monitored and maintained in accordance
with published standards and that documentation is continuously maintained.
 Regularly identifies improvements and enhancements to the IT infrastructure.
Maintains an annual strategic plan for all infrastructure systems to ensure
continuous optimizations and improvements.
 Overall responsible for maintaining current and supported operating versions for
all infrastructure systems and systems, in accordance with vendor best practices.
 Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with vendors and
partners to ensure assigned systems and hardware operate reliably throughout
their designated lifecycle.
 Creates and maintains standard procedures for the installation, configuration,
and management of assigned systems.
 Regularly communicates project status with applicable project managers,
management peers, and senior IT leadership.
