advertisement is the same graphic
artwork that is on the front cover of the
greatest hits album.The shows a
drawing of two skeletons laid together
on a floor surrounded by music, shoes
and books.The image is possibly
illustrating the band’s teenage fans
dying after the band separated and
went into a 5 year hiatus. By using the
same image that is on the front cover of

audience that see the advertisement

3. CONCLUSION
• Within the magazine advertisement the main style of the album being advertised is
portrayed.The title, including the font, positioning and style is the same as on the
album cover.The main image (in this case artwork) for the album is used as the main
image and layout for the advertisement. Important information, such as the release
date of the album and ratings are larger and bolder on the advert in order to draw the
audiences’ attentions to it and encourage people to buy the album. Less important
information such as songs featured on the album are smaller because they are less
likely to encourage people to buy the album. The logo of the band’s label is also placed
in small on the album advertisement in order to give credit to them as they fund the
band’s production and advertisement.
