2. My magazine uses and challenges
forms and conventions of real
media product in many ways one
way is the strapline (above the
masthead) tempts to buy the
magazine and make it realistic for
example, “win…” and Posters…”
The masthead is displayed clearly
in bold at the top.
It also has a barcode like the
magazine on the right to make it
like a real media product that can
be purchased.
The additional cover lines also
makes it realistic with the features
and also the main cover line which
is very bold and eye catching like
that on the right.
My magazine also has a specific
colour scheme of black, red and
white which follows throughout the
magazine.
3. My contents page
somewhat resembles
other rock magazine
content page and is
realistic as it has
pictures of other
underground artists
and also has page
numbers and is easy
to read unlike some
other magazines. It is
also straightforward as
most content pages
are. The masthead is
also used in the
content page in both
so show identity of the
magazine.
4. My double page spread is
simple yet eye catching
and realistic and not
overloaded with
unnecessary things. It is
like a double page you’d
see in quite a few
magazines with a picture
on the left and text on the
right. Except mine is a
little different with two
pictures showing different
emotions so it fits in and
relates to the text and
artist. Many rock
magazines double page
spread usually have a
white background to the
writing.
