Visual media refers to materials, programs, applications, and other resources that teachers and students use to create, analyze, evaluate, and produce visual images to aid learning. It includes digital and printed images, videos, photos, and more. Visual media is regularly interpreted and viewed through various mediums and devices and plays an important role in education, communication, and business. As a learning tool, it can be used to present information visually, such as through graphs, tables, and slide presentations.
2. DEFINITION OF TERMS
• ANALOGOUS
• COMPLEMENTARY
• GIF
• JPEG
• TRIAD
• PNG
• SPLIT
• STILL LIFE PHOTOGRAPHY
• VISUAL MEDIA AND INFORMATION
3. What is analogous?
-The colors lie next to each other on the color wheel they
typically combine beautifully and create appealing schemes for your
designs.
4. for Example: YELLOW, GREEN-YELLOW, AND GREEN are categorized as
analougous colors.
If you mix these colors, you create a new color, yellow- green, that
attributes of both. Thus the three colors are analogous beacause of
their close relationship to one aother
5. What is Complementary?
-Complementary colors are those that lie opposite each other
on the color wheel.
-They appear brighter than any other pairing
and so are perfect for catching the viewer’s
attention.
• COMPLEMENTARY
7. What is GIF?
-Graphic interchange format capable of displaying simple
animation JPG Joint photographic expert group.
ex:
• GIF
8. -GIF is a file or image format that supports both static and moving
images (e.g. short videos and animations). It was created in 1987 by
Steve Wilhite, an American inventor and computer programmer. Unlike
other formats, its color palette is limited to just 256 colors. It can,
however, be compressed without the quality of the animation or video
being significantly affected.
-There are different types of GIFs: Animated GIFs are made up of
multiple frames, which are put together in an animation. These
animations can be run once or repeated endlessly. If the sequence of
images is played at a speed that mirrors reality (i.e. without being sped
up or slowed down), it is referred to as a real-time GIF.

9. What is Triad?
-Tradix Colors are those that are early spaced out around the
color wheel as though you’re looking at on equilateral triangle.
10. Triadic Color Scheme Examples
The Same Color Scheme, Different Saturations
The paintings below are both examples of using a Triadic color scheme. The color scheme is the
same as the one illustrated above in the first image, using Yellow Green, Blue Violet, and Red
Orange
11. Triadic Color Scheme Feelings
My “color psychology” is more subdued and decorative. I prefer using a tertiary, triadic color
scheme because that is my personal color vision when I create images. That is why color is so
interesting; even in terms of interior design. Color is mostly emotional response. Some artists
choose bright colors, while others are more involved in choosing subdued shades and tints for not
only making images, but in terms of decorating their living space. You may prefer to be surrounded
by colors that give you lively results, or a more cohesive blend of subdued hues that tend to be
more calming.
12. What is PNG?
-Pronounce as “png”. Portable Network Graphics. It’s
development was basically for the purpose of transporting images on
the internet at faster rates.
PNG is a lossless raster format that stands for Portable Network
Graphics. Think of PNGs as the next-generation GIF. This format has
built-in transparency, but can also display higher color depths, which
translates into millions of colors. PNGs are a web standard and are
quickly becoming one of the most common image formats used
online.
14. You should use a PNG when…
• You need high-quality transparent web graphics. PNG images have
a variable “alpha channel” that can have any degree of
transparency (in contrast with GIFs that only have on/off
transparency). Plus, with greater color depths, you’ll have a more
vibrant image than you would with a GIF.
• You have illustrations with limited colors. Though any image will
work, PNG files are best with a small color palette.
• You need a small file. PNG files can shrink to incredibly tiny sizes—
especially images that are simple colors, shapes or text. This makes
it the ideal image file type for web graphics.
15. Don’t use a PNG when…
• You’re working with photos or artwork. Thanks to PNGs’ high color
depth, the format can easily handle high resolution photos.
However, because it is a lossless web format, file sizes tend to get
very large. If you’re working with photos on the web, go with JPEG.
• You’re dealing with a print project. PNG graphics are optimized for
the screen. You can definitely print a PNG, but you’d be better off
with a JPEG (lossy) or TIFF file.
16. What is SPLIT?
-Complementary -A variation of the complementary colors
scheme, the split complementary technique takes a base color and
then the two adjacent colors as it.
17. • In filmmaking split screen is also a technique that allows one actor
to appear twice in a scene. The simplest technique is to lock down
the camera and shoot the scene twice, with one "version" of the
actor appearing on the left side, and the other on the right side.
The seam between the two splits is intended to be invisible,
making the duplication seem realistic.
18. What is ?
-Is a genre of photography used for the depiction of inanimates
subject matter, typically a small group of objects it is the application
of photography to the still life artistic style.
This image represents a found
still life photograph because I photographed
the flowers in their natural elements in the
garden with no alterations.
19. Still-life photography is one of many photography genres. Still-life photography
depicts inanimate objects artistically (like in a still-life painting). The
photographer has leeway with a photograph's composition and design aspect.
Still-life photography is also used in product advertisements, but with restrictions
in structure and composition. Lighting and the arrangement of the objects are
critical for capturing well-balanced still-life photographs.
In still-life photography, you can photograph just about anything, from
manufactured objects to objects found in nature.
I recently learned that there are two sub-genres within still life photography:
found object still life and created still life photography
20. What is Visual Media and Information?
-Materials programs applications and the like that teachers and students
use to formulate information to qid learning through the use, analysis, evaluation
and production of visual image.
Visual Media
>sources of data or information in the form of visual representation
>may be abstractions, analogues, rough illustrations or digital reproductions of
objects
>require the interpretation of the data
>sources may be hosted on the internet, printed in publications, displayed
through broadcast media, or otherwise disseminated
>generally available or citable as stable or traceable future references
21. There is a need to understand visual media and information because basically we
are all visual learners. Therefore in order for us to learn better, visual media
should be used effectively. We as teachers should also teach our students how to
use visual media responsibly not only for entertainment but to use it productively.
Also, attention span is very affected by visuals, thus, we as teachers should adjust
our teaching methods to cope with the kind of learners we have today.
Visual media can be used in any subject matter especially presenting texts
through visuals such as data presented through graphs, tables and illustrations
like pie chart and project these through power point presentations.
Visual message design is a visual media designed to convey message or
information effectively by considering criteria in doing visual media.
22. Visual media and information is also very important because it caters visual
learners, and visuals are very important since it is known as one of the most used
in the senses. Most studies show that visual media is the most effective since it is
available and can be easily perceived. Best example of using visual media are
toddlers who can easily use tablets nowadays.
Visual media can be best used in presenting tables and graphs, projections and
interactive power points.
It can be used almost in any subject but it is preferably advisable in Math in
showing tables and graphs, in Science for showing different life cycle processes
etc. Visual media can also be used in Language Arts, Reading and Computer
Subjects.
Visual Design is a type of media with a well planned objectives to target visual
learners to provide information.
23. VISUAL MEDIA
-Refers to materials, programs, applications, and the like that
teachers and students use ro formulate new information to aid
learning through the use of analysis, evalution and production nof
visual images.
24. Visual Media is information in the form of visual representations. Visual media in
marketing uses visually appealing graphics and designs to promote a business or
company. It includes not just graphics but also videos and photos. Types of visual
media include digital and printed images, photography, graphic design, videos,
animation, and more.
Visual media is regularly viewed on billboards, smartphones, newspapers, screen
projectors, posters, televisions, computers, and various other mediums and
devices, including this one!
Visual media is interpreted using what we, as people, see visually instead of aural
(hearing) or tactile (touch) media. It plays a role in advertising, art,
communication, education, business, and engineering. Visual media is often used
as a learning and teaching aid, such as in presentations and training guides.
Photography and video are the primary visual media types and capture a
location, moment, memory, or message in a visual form.
