1. Jeffrey B. Fortune – Professional Bio
Jeff Fortune has an extensive background of accomplishments in media production, marketing,
business development, management, promotion, sales, creative development and content
production with executive level corporate positions and a history of successful business ownership.
His strength lies in his ability to simultaneously provide positive leadership in multiple facets of
business including; financial accountability, corporate direction and employee development while
managing on-site activation, event supervision, sponsorship sales and development, contract
negotiations, corporate promotion and marketing.
From 2007-2013 Fortune was Executive Vice President Business Development and Operations of
the American Drag Racing League (ADRL). Under his leadership the company set attendance
records at several of the largest and most prestigious facilities in the country, sales revenue
increased from $300,000 to over $6,000,000 and grew to become the second largest drag racing
series in the world. With the ADRL he was at the forefront of many marketing and operational
innovations including: sponsor supported tickets, sales activation programs and community and
media partnerships. He was able to extend his professional relationship with the National Guard to
create a three year sponsorship that exceeded $3,000,000. His responsibilities included:
accountability for financial forecasting, supervision of marketing, social and traditional media,
sales, sponsorship services, event scheduling and promotion. He coordinated the sale of the ADRL
to Sheik Al-Thani of Qatar and the subsequent extensive corporate and operational restructuring.
In 1997 Fortune founded MS2 Productions LLC, a television production, sponsorship and marketing
company that specialized in broadcast and interactive program development, commercial and
promotional production as well as sales, marketing and sponsorship development. As President
and Executive Producer of MS2, Fortune won eight regional EMMY® Awards for his series
productions. Additionally, the company created client driven commercials, educational and sales
videos, corporate sponsored and original programming. Several MS2 programs ran on broadcast
networks, cable and through syndication. At MS2 Productions, Fortune developed a significant
client list of Fortune 500 Companies and professional relationships in several business sectors.
As a college student, Fortune bought a small entertainment company in LA and changed the focus to
large-scale event management specializing in corporate and professional event creation,
management and production. He continues to maintain a role as consulting partner in this
company.
Fortune received his degree in Media Management from California State University Northridge, and
began working at CBS-TV as an associate writer producer for on-air-promotions. He then moved to
the Midwest and rose to executive level positions with public and private companies including vice
president of sales and marketing positions for Koplar Communications, Healthcare Services Group,
Heuris/Pulitzer (a division of Pulitzer Publishing), and the American Drag Racing League. In each
position, Fortune was responsible for business development, sales management, hiring, training
and recruitment programs as well as departmental and corporate budgeting and financial goals.
Clients include: GM, Ford, The Saint Louis Science Center, The University of Missouri, Fox Sports,
NBC, The National Guard, Dale Earnhardt Foundation, NASCAR, Speed Channel, Versus, O’Reilly
Auto, Hardees, Indy Racing League, NHRA, The Corvette Museum, World Police and Fire Games, and
Anheuser/Busch.
