9. Biographies Tony Joffe is a Founder and Principal, Director of Business Consulting. His primary responsibility is to oversee CSI's business consulting efforts in developing operational strategies, from analysis of risk to assessment of the organization’s efficiencies. Tony Joffe has been the president of three publicly traded companies, CFO of one and COO of another. In addition, he has served as chairman of the board of Colmena Corp, which acquired NetWorth Systems, a high-tech IT provider and then sold the company to STI, an insurance industries software provider. Prior to his work with companies under SEC regulation and scrutiny, he was a founder and chief operating officer of a multi-million dollar private holding company, which eventually grew to 22 separate subsidiaries with over 600 employees. In his role as COO, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations as well as new business development. Mr. Joffe began his financial career as founder, CEO and Chairman of a Wall Street commodity brokerage company, which eventually grew to nine offices in the US and UK with 275 licensed brokers.
10. Biographies Phil Davis is a Founder and Principal, Advertising. Mr. Davis was a founder and owner of Davis Media Group, Inc. (DMG), and currently sits on the Board of Directors, which was established in 2008 to pursue new ventures in media with special focus in the areas of television and Internet distribution. Prior to founding his own company, Mr. Davis was most recently a partner at DCC, a media buying and sales firm in New York City. From 1991-2008, his responsibilities included business development, planning, marketing, and sales for national and regional media clients. His innovative thinking led to strategic partnerships with the major television networks in such marquee events as the Olympics, NFL Football, NCAA Basketball’s March Madness, and the NCAA Football Bowl games. Mr. Davis began his career in 1985 at the major New York advertising firm, Ted Bates Worldwide (now known as Backer Spielvogel Bates) negotiating network television advertising. In 1989, he moved on to Foote, Cone & Belding/NY where he was able to test and stretch his creativity. He worked with clients and television networks to develop high profile, specialized sponsorships such as the “Dockers’ Halftime Report,” which aired in CBS NFL Football, and product placement in the first season of MTV’s long-running hit series “The Real World.”
11. Biographies Donal F. McSullivan is a Principal and leads our New Business Development team. Donal has had a successful career in aviation as well as technology – with a wealth of international experience. He wrote the business plans and raised capital for three airlines – two in the USA and one in Europe. He has valuable relationships and access to resources in many parts of the world – in Governments as well as the private sector. With Pan Am II he was instrumental in raising nearly $100 million and was involved in structuring the company and filling key management positions as well as being responsible for all sales and marketing activity for both scheduled and charter services. While leading The Irish Government Tourist Board and The European Travel Commission in North America for ten years, he repositioned the image of the country as a tourist destination through aggressive marketing by showcasing products of appeal – such as golf and heritage. While in that position he testified before US House and Senate subcommittee hearings on several occasions. Mr. McSullivan was engaged by the Estate of Eastern Airlines to maximized its assets. He achieved this by building businesses and having them acquired or purchased as part of the liquidation activities of the Estate.
12. Biographies Preston Wilson, Ph.D. is a Principal, Life Sciences and Technology Ventures. Preston has over twenty-five years of executive-level experience, with great emphasis on emerging stage, fast growth enterprises. His career began as a diagnostics/scientific equipment sales representative with the Scientific Products Division of American Hospital Supply Corporation, advancing through the ranks to successfully leading one of the largest business units in the Division. From AHSC, Dr. Wilson joined one of the fastest growing, emerging stage companies in the health care services space, Home Health Care of America (CareMark), rising to the position of Vice President, Operations, Planning and Development. As an entrepreneur in both the health care services and high technology sectors, he co-founded two companies, serving as President and CEO. As a key executive in these organizations, he spearheaded the raising of angel and venture capital, leading to the sale of one of his companies at six times invested capital. As President and CEO of his other Company, QualMark Corporation, he led its successful public offering on the Nasdaq Exchange. One year following the IPO, QualMark was named by Deloitte Touche as one of the top, fastest growing technology companies based in Colorado. He currently serves as a director on the boards of two development stage enterprises, and is the Chairman of the Board of a private energy firm based in Colorado.
