2. THEATRICAL POSTER: PORTRAIT
ISO APERRTURE SHUTTER SPEED

For this I had a wide-open aperture being 3.5 which let quite a bit of
light into this photo which means that the shutter speed is quick as
they do not need to stay open for that long. I had the aperture this at
3.5 so that it could create a shallow depth of field so that the model
was the main subject of this photo, the corridor can be seen but not as
clearly as the model. My ISO setting was set as auto which is why it is
so high, but it turned out okay.
The meaning I wanted to convey in this image is the feeling of unease
and the unknown. Unease because of how the models face cannot be
seen and because of how they are holding the bat showing that they
know something dangerous lays ahead of them but then the sense of
unknown will be shown because the audience and this character have
no idea who or what is at the end of this long corridor.
This is a good photo however the photo is too bright so I will be editing
this photo to make the corridor look darker, drain the colour out, so
that it fits with the horror film poster conventions like the Poltergeist
and Insidious poster I researched.
3. QUAD THEATRICAL POSTER (LANDSCAPE)
EQUIPMENT: Sony ILCE 7M3, Tripod
For this photo, the aperture f5.7 which means minimal light has been let
in making the photo look slightly darker which is what I wanted to do as
this is going to be edited to have a party crowd behind her so having less
lighting would be better. Also, for this I had a light shining on the side to
fit with the party crowd that will be behind her and to emphasize how
scared she looks as, the light created shadows on her face and neck
which also shows that she is gasping. Because the amount of light is less
the shutter speed is slightly slower at 1/20.
The meaning I wanted to create in this photo is sense of unease again
like the photo of the corridor as the model looks scared meaning that
they have seen something that has disturbed them, but the audience
does not know what it is making them feel uneasy.
The ISO is 640 which is because the lighting for this photo is low by
doing this it still captures the details in the shadows without giving too
much noise.
