ISO Aperture Shutter Speed
3200 f/9 36mm 1/320
Equipment: Canon EOS 4000D, Tripod
I intended to create a photo with a low aperture in order to make the photo
darker. For this image I wanted my two models to be the focus of the
photo, so I framed them in the middle. It is slightly dark and there is a
stop sign on a pillar which can set an atmosphere of danger and that
people should be aware. I wanted my models to hold hands as it shows
their relationship to the audience, and it shows that the two are walking
towards danger.
The meaning I wanted to covey through this image was the idea of the
unknown, and this is for the quad poster. With this, I am hoping to excite
the audience for the release of the film. This poster will contain its release
date and all the other details.
I had set my ISO to 3200 as the area was slightly too dark and I needed
the image to be processed lighter. I did not want a bigger aperture because
that would change the depth of field and make the entire back-middle-
foreground in focus when I wanted my models to be the only ones in focus.

ISO Aperture Shutter Speed
3200 f/9 36mm 1/320
Equipment: Canon EOS 4000D, Tripod
For this image, I wanted to capture part of the alleyway where the story
unfolds. I kept the aperture low so that anything in the foreground is more
in focus. For this image, I wanted none of my models to be in so that it can
emphasise the location. I plan to darken the image via photoshop and use
colour masking so that only a specific colour pops out.
I wanted to convey a slightly calm, neutral feeling with this image but will
some unnerving effects. I will hopefully achieve this via photoshop by
colour masking, making the red’s stand out more. This poster will also
contain the release dates alongside the names of the directors, actors etc..
My ISO setting was at 3200 as I didn't want to increase the aperture for a
lighter image. I wanted a lighter/decently exposed image so that I have
more options to adjust with on photoshop. I also wanted a smaller
aperture so that the foreground was more in focus than the background.

ISO Aperture Shutter Speed
3200 f/5 46mm 1/60
Equipment: Canon EOS 4000D, Tripod
I planned to create a photo with a low aperture in order to make the
photo dimmer and so that the foreground was more in focus than the
background. For this image, I wanted the flower and the test tube to be
the main focus as they are major plot elements, having just those two
feature in the teaser poster highlights their importance.
I wanted this photo to include juxtaposition with the flower and the
blood spilled test tube. I believe that the use of juxtaposition can confuse
and interest the audience. A flower is well known to be surrounded by
happiness and have more positive means, whereas a spilled test tube
filled with blood next to it gives off something death and negative.
My ISO setting was set to 3200 as I was in a dark studio. The red
handheld light was used as well as a soft-box to give a more lenient
effect. If I had used no soft-box, the lighting would be too harsh, which is
not the result I want. I also wanted to make sure this image wasn’t too
under-exposed, otherwise it would give me less freedom to edit around on
photoshop. I plan to make the entire background black so that the flower
and test tube stand out.

The setting for this photo is
a out of bounds, dark
alleyway. Some area’s are
dirty and mouldy and there
are stop and warning signs
around. This emphasises
that the area is dangerous
and shouldn’t be entered.
I made my protagonists
hold hands and stay close
together showing their
relationship to the
audience. Ajax is looking up
towards the garage door
whereas Yui is looking
down. This highlights the
difference of emotion
between the two and that
Ajax is a lot more confident
than Yui.
Ajax an Yui’s clothes
are not from any high
street fashion stores
and have no
coordination
whatsoever. The main
characters barely had
enough time to collect
their belongings, so
their clothing is basic
and slightly dirty.
These conventions fit
with the genres Action
and Horror

The setting for this photo is mellow,
calming; The area is dirty and
slightly rotting and I’m hoping to
emphasise this via photoshop. I plan
to make the sky a little darker and
make the colours focus more on the
red tones, by doing this, it allows
the photo to fit more with the
conventions of horror.
This area is directly besides the
garage door (that features in the
quad poster) and this area is where
most of the action unfolds.
Originally I planned to have my
models in this shot but I decided to
have no models as it didn’t seem
fitting to have them in the frame (or
to edit them in)

The setting for this photo is dark
and mysterious. This shot includes
juxtaposition between the flower
and the bloody test tube. By doing
this, it highlights and intrigues the
audience.
This photo is a close up shot of the
two objects. The test tube is laying
down flat with red liquid spilling
out splattered on the flower. The
flower is also partially withering,
with pieces scattered across the
table. These are all conventions that
match the horror genre well and can
almost be instantly identified by
bypasses that the poster is part of a
horror film campaign

Evidence of Safe Practice Description
In these three images, I am setting up the two
objects that needed to be taken. I made sure
that the wire’s for the lighting were spaced
out so that it was safe to walk round.
Before the shoot we made sure that the area
was safe to take photos in and that the tripod
was put together correctly
