10 Photos Analysis
1. Shutter Speed: 1/200 sec
F-Stop: f/11
ISO Speed Rating: 400
Focal Length: 48.0 mm
In this picture the model is helped by the dark and eerie background. The model is off
centered so the background isn’t completely ignored by the the bright colour. The
background includes the setting such as the field and goal. The model is also carrying a
football which also helps the setting. The picture has multiple colours in the picture so it has
variety and no all the same. Because there is a lot of headroom I will crop the picture down
to focus it on the model.
2. Shutter Speed: 1/200 sec
F-Stop: f/10
ISO Speed Rating: 400
Focal Length: 36.0 mm
In this picture it is more about the setting as the model is in the bottom right and not the
main subject however the goal and pitch ahead of him is. This makes the model look like he
is ready and his goal is to score! The either parts of the image are in focus.
1/500 sec
f/5.0
ISO Speed Rating: 640
Focal Length: 35.0 mm
In this picture it shows the model ready to shoot in practice, picking his spot to shot and
looking at the ball ready to run up. The model is also off centered to get the ball in to know
what the model is doing and to show the setting around him. The goal is still in the shot but
not as much as the model and the lace the model is in. To make the ball more in focus I
could take the shot again with the model more over to the right or crop the picture from the
left so there is less space on the image.
3. 1/640 sec;
f/5.6
ISO Speed Rating: 1250
Focal Length: 48.0 mm
In this picture it shows the model playing football. The model is quite small compared to the
background this may appear as a poor picture and you can see the goals in the background.
This is also an action shot because he is a moving object, this also makes you look at the
model stand out because you wan to know what he is doing the dark background can take
over the lighter area because they’re aren’t as much.
4. 1/640 sec
f/5.6
ISO Speed Rating: 800
Focal Length: 48.0 mm
The image is an action shot of the model about to kick the ball. No blur is in the shot while
moving because it is set to sport on the settings. The model is off centered to help the
5. background stand out. But because the background is still and the model is doing something
you still look at the model.
1/100 sec
f/5.6
ISO Speed Rating: 100
Focal Length: 44.0 mm
To focus on the model, I can blur out the background to focus on him and the blur will get
rid of the pieces of background I don’t want. If I don’t like the background at all I can crop
around the model. The model could be brightened up and the orange could be brightened
on the top also and the dark spots made lighter. Keeping the background could help the
story behind the picture of a young boy coming from a small estate and making the dream.
6. 1/100 sec
f/5.6
ISO 100
Focal length: 23.0 mm
This picture is focused on the ball the model holding the ball is slightly in focus, if I changed
the settings on the camera I could’ve only had the ball in focus but I can still do this on
Photoshop. To remove the unwanted props in the background in the image I can crop the
image down or blur it out. Cropping the picture will also help focus on the ball because of
the amount of space around the model in diverting your away from him and the ball.
7. 1/100 sec
f/5.6
ISO 640
Focal length: 34.0 mm
This picture is slightly dark but I can change that in Photoshop, changing the contrast and
brightness. If I wan the picture to be more focused on the face I would crop the bottom half
of the image taking away the rest of his body. Keeping the background can allow me to say
the wealth he has and how his life has changed because of the out come of his career.
8. 1/100 sec
f/5.6
ISO: 125
Focal length: 20.0 mm
In this image I think that there is too much space
around the the model but I could simply crop the
image and make it thinner so only he is in the shot.
I could also remove the background as the model
alone would be good to have on the front cover as
he is staring through something maybe his future…
As the color on the model is good I could also turn
the background black and white to make the
model stand out more as he would be brighter.
9. 1/100 sec
f/5.6
ISO: 100
Focal length: 24.0 mm
As I don’t want the background I can use filters in photos shop to change this such as blur. I
could also crop the background out leaving me with jut the model with a plain white
background. I could also darken the background so the colour of the suit stands out making
the model standout to the audience.
