in Logistics functions at various levels and areas of the business. Holding Master’s degree in
Marketing Management (MMM) with tremendous knowledge and experience in Warehouse
Management systems using ERP software domain/ IMMOLS (Integrated Materials Management
Online System) and capable of dealing with business driven functions such as Planning, Forecast and
Provisioning, Budget and Inventory control, Inbound and Outbound functionalities, Security and
Administration, Salvage Disposals and Purchase Management through bespoke IT applications.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Achievements
• Planning, Forecasting and Provisioning: We follow the concept of using the “right item, at
the right time and at the right place” and this heavily depends on our logistic activities.
Planning and forecasting is done simultaneously by taking into consideration on our future
requirements from various users as well as based on the past consumption data where we
achieved a huge reduction of 0.8% wastage to our department workflow.
• Budget Management: Monitoring of our budget is being done on a monthly/quarterly/half
yearly and an annual basis which enables us to ensure that expenditures are carried out only
as per the guidelines and instructions issued on subject to needs and not requirement basis.
• Purchase Management: Hands on experience in all purchases including DGS&D rate
contracted items are done as per Defence Procurement Manual issued by GOI using on line
Central procurement portal. Purchase activities includes AON(Angle of Necessity)and
RFPs(Request for Proposals), opening and evaluating of Tenders, Negotiations, obtaining
EAS(Expenditure Angle Sanction), involving audit authorities at all level of purchases, receipt
and inspection of items and finally payment of bills to the vendors.
• Warehousing and Preservation: This is one of the major role performed in our section,
which includes items like clothing, Ration, IT items, Hardware, Paints, Rubberized items, Oil
and lubricants, Aircraft spares, Machineries, Vehicle spare parts, Tyres, Batteries, Petrol,
Diesel, ATF, etc. are parts of our warehousing. Effective Live monitoring system for all items
are being followed by our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)/IMMOLS software system
to ensure that life expired items are not stored and issued. A well planned ARS (Automatic
Replenishment System) for aircraft spares is being followed to weed out wastages being
very high value items and to make them available at floor level only at the time of its actual
requirement. Similar system is followed for Clothing and Ration items.
• Inventory Control: Many types of effective inventory control techniques are followed on a
day to day basis like Just In Time (JIT), First In First Out (FIFO), Always Better Control (ABC),
Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Two Bin system, etc. This enabled us to achieve a whopping
2% savings to our yearly budget and also helped us to minimize inventory carrying cost, Loss
prevention, and to avoid obsolete items in the inventory section.
• Issues and Accounting: Our existing effective ERP and SAP systems takes care of accounting
the items in our warehouses after they are issued or brought into the store. Periodical stock
2. checks are carried out through this system for ensuring better accounting. Apart from this
Regular and Snap checks are also carried out for effective accounting.
• Salvage Disposal: A huge quantity of salvage stores are being generated in regular intervals
and are disposed of through our e-auction procedures.
• IMMOLS(Integrated Materials Management On Line System): With an aim to maintain a
paper-less environment in Indian Air Force, all Logistics activities are being performed through
an ERP based computer system known as IMMOLS enabling paperless functioning at all levels.
This is considered to be the largest ERP system being followed in Asia. Obtaining all types of
reports, generating all types of data, evaluation process etc., are been done by this system.
• Management: Professional and effective managerial experience including strong
communication skills, very proactive and sensible thinking and possess strong work ethics. As
a Team Leader within our section we increased the productivity from our staff members by
3.8% within 3 months after implementing new training methods on Time management.

purpose and includes wagons loaded on and off having armament load. Handled the dispatch

and civil aircraft modes that were being utilized under our specific Customs Regulations.
