Reach Out To Them
DM Followers
For every follower you get, send
them a message thanking them for
following you, along with
encouraging them to like and
comment your posts.
Reply to Comments
With every comment you receive,
reply with a comment of your own.
This will help drive more
engagement.
Introduce Yourself
It’s a good idea to send each
follower a DM giving them some
information about you. This is the
first step of any positive
relationship.

for the one post. You can upload
up to 10.
Once uploaded, you can tap and
hold to change the order, apply a
filter to everything at once or edit
them one by one. When done,
tap “next”.

Shoot In Cinema Mode
If you are shooting video on your mobile, use the
“cinema” mode to remove wobble from your video.
Simply tap the shacky camera icon.
Select a Thumbnail
After shooting the video, Instgram will ask you to
add a cover frame. This will act as a thumbnail and
is important. Select the most a appealing image you
have.
Hyperlaspe App
If you want something different try using the
hyperlaspe app that will time-lapse your videos. You
can share on Instagram and Facebook.

If you aren’t naturally creative or short on time,
Instagram Stories has a Create mode that
includes templates, frames and stickers.
Stickers
Stickers are colourful
overlays that can be added
– time, temperature, poll
etc. Simply tap the smiling
face icon to add them.
Quiz Stickers
Quiz stickers let your
followers submit questions
for you to reply to or answer
multiple choice questions.
Countdown
Sticker
Used to promote time-
sensitive events and
offers. Gives fans the
ability to tap it and set a
reminder. Combine this
with a CTA button.
Layout Mode
Provides a range of grid
display styles for multiple
images within a single
Stories frame.
Hashtag
Users can search for
your story using the
hashtag that you place in
the caption. Your sticker
may also appear in
Explore tab.
Chat Stickers
Let’s people request to join a live
chat group with you (held in DMs
inbox). Ideas: pre-order links,
promos, feedback.

SHARING POSTS
You can add overlay text to your
story and when you mention people
in Stories (type @ followed by
username) they will appear
underlined in your story. When
someone clicks on that mention it
takes them to that page. A great trick
is to do this for competition winners
who have a picture on their profile of
winning, or a testimonial.
1. BOOMERANG, REWIND
& SUPERZOOM MODES
This is a format picker underneath
Stories’ record button that lets you
select these settings. Boomerang
lets you stitch together several
photos into a short video. Rewind
lets you create visual tricks, like
watching an object fly up into your
hand. Superzoom adds dramatic
and suspenseful sound effects while
zooming in and out.
3. STORIES HIGHLIGHT
Stories Highlights allows you to group
together stories you’ve shared into
highlights and feature them at the top
of your profile.

Saved stories
can be re-used.
Save Stories
To prevent your stories from
disappearing forever, since they
expire after 24 hours, you can now
automatically save them. On the
app, go to “settings” then search
for “stories” and scroll down until
you see “archiving” and turn on
the “Save to archive” option.
You can use
your saved
stories for
highlights.

begin creating a new Story
Highlight. Step 3
Add them to the Highlight.
When you’re done, tap
“Next”.

Type a name for your Highlight, to appear under it

those visually impaired.

Instagram TV is a standalone app
that integrates with the Instagram
App. IGTV content will appear on
your Instagram feed when you
upload new video content to your
channel.

You can’t upload Instagram
stories, it has to be video from
an external source.

Stickers Stickers are colourful overlays that can be added – time, temperature, poll etc. Simply tap the smiling face icon to add them. Quiz Stickers Quiz stickers let your followers submit questions for you to reply to or answer multiple choice questions. Countdown Sticker Used to promote time- sensitive events and offers. Gives fans the ability to tap it and set a reminder. Combine this with a CTA button. Layout Mode Provides a range of grid display styles for multiple images within a single Stories frame. Hashtag Users can search for your story using the hashtag that you place in the caption. Your sticker may also appear in Explore tab. Chat Stickers Let’s people request to join a live chat group with you (held in DMs inbox). Ideas: pre-order links, promos, feedback.

MENTIONS & SHARING POSTS You can add overlay text to your story and when you mention people in Stories (type @ followed by username) they will appear underlined in your story. When someone clicks on that mention it takes them to that page. A great trick is to do this for competition winners who have a picture on their profile of winning, or a testimonial. 1. BOOMERANG, REWIND & SUPERZOOM MODES This is a format picker underneath Stories’ record button that lets you select these settings. Boomerang lets you stitch together several photos into a short video. Rewind lets you create visual tricks, like watching an object fly up into your hand. Superzoom adds dramatic and suspenseful sound effects while zooming in and out. 3. STORIES HIGHLIGHT Stories Highlights allows you to group together stories you’ve shared into highlights and feature them at the top of your profile.

Save Stories To prevent your stories from disappearing forever, since they expire after 24 hours, you can now automatically save them. On the app, go to “settings” then search for “stories” and scroll down until you see “archiving” and turn on the “Save to archive” option. You can use your saved stories for highlights.

Step 5 Tap “Edit Cover” to change the Highlight’s cover image. Step 6 Tap “add” to save the Highlight to your profile. The number of impressions. The number of replies your stories receive. The number of exits before your story ends.
  • 17. 17 CLEAR IMAGES No Logo With Ad Moment Ads No Filters True Reflection Ad Clone Instagram relies heavily on good quality images, so don’t use any heavy filters. Brands cannot feature their logo in Instagram ads other than as a natural, non-obvious part of the scene. Images used as ads must be “true to your brand”, i.e. not shocking or cheesy, and no use of gimmicks. Photos used for ads should capture “moments”, not products. Customise your name tag with colour and emojis (app only), then click “Download Nametag”. A name tag is a special image (like a QR code) that anyone can scan to isntantly visit your Instagram profile. Find inspiration from auto- completed hashtag suggestions in Instagram search, in the related hashtags displayed People use hashtags in Instagram as a way for them to discover content. Posts often have up to the 30-hashtag limit.

Follow Hashtag Instagram allows users to follow hashtags, meaning content from that hashtag you follow will show content in your feed. In the search field type in the hashtag, click on it, then click “follow”. Following hashtags let’s you spy on your competitors.

On the top right click the 3 dots then select “imbed” and you’ll get an embed code. 1 Imbedded posts are good for driving traffic to your SM page. Imbedded posts are best for contests.

Add Third-Party URL Enter the URL for the account or page you use om the third-party app to which you want people from Instagram to be directed via the action button. Tap “Submit”. 05. You need to get your business approved and set up for Selling on Instagram. Your account needs to be a business profile. You then need to connect your profile to a Facebook Catalog of products. Browse a Tag Shoppers can tap on a tagged post within the Instagram feed (or through the Shop button on a business profile) to browse and buy. Tag Items You can add tags to items featured in your posts (just like you would tag a person or profile).

To enable product tagging on Instagram, tap the Get Started alert at the top of your profile. If you don’t see it, go to Settings > Shopping > to add a product catalogue.

You can tag products in already-published posts on Instagram, so don’t forget to return to older posts. Create an Instagram Story to let your fans know that they can now shop your posts. Use Instagram Insights to understand your customers better.

StandAlone App Instagram TV is a standalone app that integrates with the Instagram App. IGTV content will appear on your Instagram feed when you upload new video content to your channel. External Videos You can’t upload Instagram stories, it has to be video from an external source.

Make sure the first 60-seconds explains what the video content is about, how it can benefit them and what’s great about. Always leave them with a teaser/cliffhanger!
