2014 – Current Director of Transportation
Willbanks Metals, Inc. Fort Worth, Texas
Existing responsibilities include: Manage all functions of shipping & receiving for one of the largest steel
fabricators in the Southern United States. Operate a fleet of 16 tractors and 40 flatbed trailers across 4 facilities
in Fort Worth, TX & Tulsa, OK. As capacity tightens, use partner carrier relationships to cover inbound and
outbound freight needs. Handle freight volume in excess of 50 shipments per day. Staff includes: 16 drivers, 4
shipping & receiving personnel, and 2 dispatchers.
Accomplishments:
Established legal agreement with aid from legal council, for partner carriers to sign and agree to terms,
which addresses various legal concerns while transporting goods.
Developed pricing system for Sales to use as a guide to establish cost of freight for customer purchases.
Completed carrier bid on active lanes of freight.
Maintain Profit and Loss statement for Transportation department.
Modified the maintenance program to include preventative maintenance for all equipment and tire
repair/replacement moved to a retread service, reducing maintenance spend projections by nearly 30%.
Adjusted fuel program, which substantially reduced fuel spend on forklifts and tractors.

2012 – 2014 Customer Service Manager
USA Truck, Inc. Van Buren, Arkansas
Responsibilities included: Oversee the Account Development group within the Customer Service department.
This team is assembled to handle the day-to-day account activity of USA Truck, Inc.’s national account division,
which comprised 75% of total revenue in the General Freight division. There are 19 account managers and 8
customer service specialists that input customer load information while serving customer needs and striving to
grow account revenue volumes, through solicitation and exceeding service expectations.
Accomplishments:
Implemented incentive based goals, when exceeding company revenue growth goals month over month
for each account/Account Manager.
Immediate freight balance impacts with coaching, training, and development of analysis tools.
Provided real-time pricing for freight opportunities.
Consistently exceeded revenue growth goals.
Adapted culture to fit their titles as “Account Managers”, adapting from “clerk” mentality, prioritizing

2. 2012 Manager – Operations Roanoke

Responsibilities included: Responsible for Roanoke Trucking Operations including fleet, customer service
and planning function for 250 drivers and 10 office staff, maintain compliance with all applicable DOT laws and
regulations by proactively managing safety processes, provide differentiated customer service to our “core”
customers to achieve company objectives of growing revenue with those selected customers, create
experiences, on a daily basis for all driving and non-driving team members, to achieve company retention goals.
Accomplishments:
Company ranking for Roanoke has been in the top two of eight since the regional restructure that began
June 2012.
Driver retention has been dramatically increased, reducing turnover 85% from 180%.
Developed new process paired with reporting to better analyze operation data to enhance efficiency and
decision making.
2010 - 2012 Manager – Technical Development and Fuel Management

Responsibilities included: Managing the following departments within Maintenance – Parts Purchasing,
Warranty Claims, Fuel Economy, Tire Management, Tractor Recovery, and Fleet Technology, totaling a staff of
10 employee team members, developing reports and cost analysis to provide visibility to Maintenance staff
identifying focus areas, identify cost savings opportunities within company processes, and aid/assist in special
projects as instructed by the Director of Maintenance.
Accomplishments:
Two employees that I helped develop have been promoted from their previous positions to management.
Year over year improvements in Maintenance program costs including parts and fuel economy for the two
years involved.
Developed various ROIs for new proposed terminal locations and specialized equipment that were crucial
for decision making and provided immeasurable cost savings.
2006 - 2010 Supervisor – Purchasing and Fuel Management

Responsibilities included: Management of procuring building and staff fixtures and supplies for corporate and
satellite facilities, assisting in and facilitating negotiations relating to property or equipment leases, tasked to
minimize the costs associated with the procurement process, while ensuring that acceptable standards are
maintained, personally manage company fuel costs by negotiating discounts from suppliers within operational
requirements within our 383 fuel stop fuel network and five terminal bulk fuel locations, Comdata fuel/master
card program administrator, and managed 13 support staff employees.
Accomplishments:
Procured several properties to be used for tractor and trailer drop sites, creating an annual cost savings
in excess of $300,000.
Refined the fuel network, saving the company on opportunity costs in excess of $200,000 per month by
negotiating discounts, stop layout, and auditing purchases and purchasing profiles in Comdata.
Restructured company floor plan to accommodate for larger staff in smaller areas. Worked with
numerous suppliers, I/S departments, and all affected departments, to design and implement floor plan
layouts.
2002 - 2011 Supervisor - Sales
