1. Pre-ProductionDiaryforSmile Advert
Day 1-
I beganeditingmyvideobyusingthe clipsIgot fromthe otherday frommy actor smilingslowlywhile
lookingintocamera,Ieditedthe lightandthe saturationof the videotogive itmore of a natural look
and so youcan clearlysee herface.
As youcan see fromthe screenshotthatthe firstvideoislessclearthanthe secondone,asthe second
one I had changedthe colorsand saturationto bringto lightenthe actorsface and the background.I
triedto make the backgrounda bitdarker forthe static camera shotas I didnot want the audience tobe
so distractedbythe background.
Day 2
I beganeditingmore of the videotodaybycuttingupthe videowiththe audioasbestas I could,itwas
exceedinglydifficultasonlyone of my headphonesworkedanditwasquite loudinmywork
environment.
Witheach cut I was able toseparate the cuts fromeach otherwiththe rightamountof time fromeach
otherto get the picturesinandthe righteffectIwantfor my advert.Bycuttingthe videoIhadto make
clipsvariedsizestomake the videolookfasterthanitis.
Day 3
Today I beganeditingthe videobyaddingthe picturesinwithvideoeffectssoitwouldnotbe such a
harsh andcause I seizure toanaudience member.Itwashardeditingthe photosintothe videoasI
couldnot figure outhowto importthemandchange the scale,sotheycoveredthe full screen.
I was able tofigure outhowto change the transitionof the photographsandthe video,soitismore
suitable forthe targetaudience.Itwas quite difficultatfirstbutthenI understoodyoucouldchange
howlongthe transitionslastedfor.

2. Day 4
I didfinal editingforthe videoasIwas justaddingsmallertouchestothe videotomake itlookclearer
and cleanerforthe final edit.
I didthisby change the transitionsandmakingmore longerthanotherto make the speedandtempoof
the musicwiththe static camera shotsandthenmovedon to the photographstomake themlook
cleareron the videobutalsoto make the transitionfromthe staticcamera angle tothe photograph
softerandcleaner.
