Process/KPI Achievements (14/16):
- Meeting ramp goal target of 30% ramp goal quarterly and increased plating
throughput to 2660 wph. Collaborate closely with equipment team for MECO
plating tool retrofit activities.
- Reduced silver complex chemistry replenishment by 10X. Implemented the 1st
DOR add back to the silver sump tank, to avoid precious silver metal lost during
production.
- Set up all the required analysis for plating process. Train technicians on how to
perform the chemical analysis, analytical tool troubleshooting and maintenance
for plating process sustaining.
- Achieve tool uptime > 85% & yield > 95% across all quarters respectively.
- Meeting goal for zero case reported for repeated NCP case with similar root
cause.
- Implemented an affective equipment sign off process by participating in PPE
assessments, participate in JHA (Job Hazard Assessment) reviews or work with
EHS to complete all Safety Level (SL1, SL2, and SL3) for the equipments in the
factory.
- Actively participate in Safety Walk and Talks (SWAT); involved in factories ERT or
Communicate Personal and Safety issues through the near miss reporting system.
- Completed all required safety related training such as Hazcom, respirator
training.
- Engage in several projects on Yield (mechanical/process > 95%), Cost (Cell
Processing OpEx to $0.40 per wafer), Throughput (2000 uph net) Improvement
and Variance Reduction (tool matching).
- Work as team with cross functional team to produce first production line solar
cell with efficiency of > 20% by Nov 30th 2014.
- Supervise overall plating process/daily line issue application for line sustaining as
a plating process owner for continuous production line run of 50,000 cells with
cumulative yield > 90%.
- Coordinate with Meco vendor and other cross functional team to ensure the
Meco plater release on targeted tool release date.
- Coordinate leaching and chemicals charge in activities to ensure the plating tool
is ready for process optimization.
- Guide to Meco equipment owner to complete the SL1, SL2 sign off for the tool
start up readiness.
- Coordinate with metrology vendors (ECI technology, Agilent, Sigma, Mettler
Toledo) on tool installation, tool commissioning for chemicals bath stability and
performance monitoring and sustaining.
- Plan, execute and coordinate with manufacturing team for setting up plating lab
which includes fume hood installation, chemicals storage, lab apparatus storage
layout planning and set up coordination.
- Manage a group of manufacturing technicians in the shift. Lead and guide them
in daily process engineering and troubleshooting activities. Train and certify
process technicians, continuously develop their competencies to handle
production issues.
