STRATEGIES AND THEORIES TO IMPROVE THE EDUCATIONAL
EXPERIENCE OF THE CHILD
Shirley Jackson
Psychology SOE-115
Fall Term 2018
OVERVIEW
• Teachers who are well plan and organized
demonstrate efficacy and create a positive
learning environment for children to become
great learners.
SUMMARIES
Studies show that teachers are only as great as their
leaders.
Productive influential educators noted that "strategy
in place creates and foster for success".
*Setting Directions
*Developing People
*Redesigning the organization
Defining Leadership Roles: This includes Principals and
Superintendent who take responsibility in the growth
and development of their schools.
Those in leadership positions should always make
certain staff are accountable and doing as they should.
SUMMARY
• Connecting home and school is vital. Parents
joining classes for story time or a quick nursery
rhyme or songs. This exhibit a creative, safe
and growth oriented Environment. Which,
encourages the confidence of the child to reach
all of the basic need to learn and develop.
SUMMARY
• Staff is critical is supporting the educational
process. It is imperative they demonstrate the
proper educational efficacies needed to be
great.
• Working environments should have the support
from leadership and adminstration to complete
the circle condusive to excellence. and related
services
SUMMARY
• Inconclusion, to coin an old African Proverb "It Takes A Village To
Raise A Child". It is applicable to the wholistic development to
engage and encourage the social emotional growth and
development of the growing child.
• Staff who are dedicated to the field with strong leadership are
key to success for the students. Strategies and theories are
important to the educational experience of the child.
ANALYSIS
• As We Examine the conclusion and technique that many have researched such
as Jean Piaget, his theories concludes a series of four stages of cognitive
development. Sensorimotor, preoperational, formal operational. These
theories help teachers to better identify and understand how children process.
• Aristotle (384-322 BC) His theory was he felt that children learn by
"Association". This is so true and I see this everyday children bring their
experience with them to class . They learn from the environment that is set up
and implemented by the teacher. Goals and objectives help map the way for
learning. Recognizing that all children have different learning needs and many
time those needs are meet based on the individual child's ability to learn. A
great teacher recognize difference in the same way different theorist explored
the best methods for teaching. Different strategies once we know and build a
relationship with the child it is then that we can aide a student's in reaching
his fullest potential.
• Environment is what many feel is the reason why kids have challenges. Health
is another factor, failing school districts. They are closing poor performing
school and removing teachers who students are unable to test out.
CONNECTIONS
• Finally, as we all know when children enter a
learning program that is well define, creative
and nurturing. It taps into the social, emotional
need of the child. Those experiences spent
introducing strategies, to help understand and
meet each child's needs. The importance to
actively prepare and engage the children you
teach each day. Good or bad, teachers are the
determining factor in a child's becoming his best
self.
CONNECTIONS
• In Educational Psychology we learn that many
theorist develop different strategies to better
understand young children. How they grow,
development and how the mind process
information and data. Both teachers and
theorist have this in common we approach the
learning environment through researching the
child to get a better understanding how to meet
his educational needs.
CONCLUSION
• Inconclusion we understand that implementing
strategies in the learning environment is
productive and needed in the success of our
children learning.
COMMUNICATION WITH FAMILIES
• Family support connects school and home
environment.
