Rationale:
I have used Premiere Pro for previous projects such as music video. I leant skills on how to add
transitional effects, stabilising effects and cropping techniques to video. I’ve also learnt how to
remove either the audio or video from an MP4 file. These are techniques that will definitely come in
handy with my FMP as Premiere Pro is the program I will be using. Having these skills is useful as
it allows for a better production and makes my overall finished project look more professional and
sophisticated, thus making it more watchable.
Project Concept:
I am wanting to create a documentary on vegans and to do this, I will need to research where the
best place to do this is. I will need an event of some sort in order to have a representative
product.im wanting my documentary to be as unbiased as possible so representation is key. I want
the documentary to be unstaged completely, with the only organised aspect being the voice over.
Continuing with the unstaged nature of the documentary, I will need to research interviewing
techniques that don’t seem forced, such as talking head interviews. The main goal of my
documentary is to report in an unbiased way. I will have to research language that isn’t suggestive
and is more objective.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:
I will provide on-going self-evaluation, constantly referring back to my intentions to ensure I meet
them. I will also ask for peer feedback as it is important to know what my audience think of my
work as they’re the ones I am appealing to.
