Hello everyone and welcome to the finally of our review series of the Mandalorian season 2
as today we look at chapter 16 the rescue, let us see if john and folini can send this season
off with a bang as we dive in.
So, our episode begin with slave one chasing down and eventually disabling an imperial
transport delivering doctor perishing to moff Gideon as boba demands to be able to dock
and board as Mando and cara board the transport and break into the cockpit of he ship one
of the pilots surrenders immediately whist the other take the doctor hostage and shoots the
other pilot then begins taunting cara about the destruction of alderon and how he is the
victim as he got out just before the first death star blew up killing the millions of imperial
personnel even thou technically the reason nobody cares when an imperial dies is because.
1. They’ve committed mass genocides.
2. They built two planet killing super weapons
3. They are racists as f*** against alien species.
4. They enslaved countless millions to build their war machines and empire.
5. They ruled the galaxy through fear and oppression.
6. They killed and tortured innocent people.
Seriously why dose most new Star Wars try to make you feel bad for imperials it doesn’t
take a genius to realise your working for the bad guys, anyways cara shoots the imperial
pilot killing him and saving the doctor and taking him prisoner, to which they then find bo
katan to get her help rescue grogu to which she wont as she thinks its impossible to find
moff Gideon and boba go’s lets go we don’t need them katan then says boba’s a disgrace to
his Armor “says the women who took part in burning down and murder of a village of
innocent people” and says he isn’t a true Mandalorian too which boba just brushes it off and
says never said I was “but to be fair we all know boba’s the OG Mandalorian both in legend
and cannon” which eventually leads to a scuffle between boba and one of katan’s people
which eventually get broken up with bo agreeing to help rescue grogu after getting bribed
with the promise that she can fight moff Gideon and take back the dark saber and keep his
ship to help liberate mandolore yeah real good guy right here ladys and gentlemen has to be
bribed to do a decent thing seriously am I the only one who want to see this women get
some comeuppance, anyways they then come up with a plan to board and take over moff
Gideon’s light cruiser with the help of a still captured doctor pershing, to which they use the
imperial shuttle as a trojin horse by jumping into and out of hyper space near moff Gideon’s
cruiser and having boba shoot and chase after the boarding team with them calling for help
pretending to be imperial in distress to which moff gidion releases a few tie fighter who get
taken out by boba who then jumps into hyperspace to do his own thing, with bo crashing
the shuttle into the cruisers hanger then the team get to work clearing the ship of any
imperial hostiles they come across with mando splitting off from the group to first vent the

2. dark troopers that moff gideon ha now activated on the cruiser into space then rescuing
grogu in the detention block to which the main group consisting of cara, fence, bo and her
second in command gunning their way to the bridge, with Mando making it to the dark
troopers to seal the room their in but one gets out and just go’s to town on Mando with the
other trying to punch their way out, to which eventually Mando Is able to defeat the first
dark trooper and vent the rest into space but don’t count them out just yet as you’ll see
later, with the lady getting to the bridge and clearing it but there’s no moff Gideon in sight
and where is he you might ask well he’s in the detention block telling Mando that he can
take grogu as long as Mando leaves him alone and doesn’t get in his way to which Mando
agrees but it’s ……. Thank you Ackbar got their eventually yeah moff Gideon not giving up his
prize so easily so him and mando have a fight with mando using his beskar spear against
Gideon’s dark saber to which Mando beats moff Gideon and takes moff Gideon prisoner to
which he then rescues grogu and goes to meet up with the others on the bridge taking moff
Gideon with him with bo katan not being to pleased as now Mando is the rightful owner of
the dark saber as he defeated its previous owner moff Gideon which katan wanted to do
and Mando can’t just give it to her so she’ll have to do the same to him which Gideon
remind them as to become the rightful holder of the dark saber and ruler of mandolor you
have to defeat its current owner so Mando’s now the rightful ruler of mandolor but before
things can get even more heated the dark troopers mando vented earlier fly back to the
light crusier and begin marching to the bridge to kill everyone and free moff gideon to which
Gideon taunt the group on how he’s won as the dark trooper begin bashing the doors down
an entire platoon to be precise ready to kill everyone except grogu and moff gideon
however an x-wing fly’s past landing in one of the cruisers hanger bays carrying a very
special character near and dear to fans Luke mother f****** Skywalkers who cuts his way
through the dark troopers like they were nothing and I’m just going to leave a link in the
description for you to go check out later because if I was to try and describe it, it would do it
justice you have to see it to believe it during which moff gideon tries to kill bo katan which
Mando stops with his Armor and then himself which cara stops to which then Luke come
through the door after finishing the reaming dark troopers and introducing himself and
telling Mando that grogu will never be safe until he has mastered his powers in the force to
which Luke can train him, so mando and grogu say their goodbyes to each other with din
jarin Mando’s real name removing his helmet in front of grogu showing him the man behind
the helmet who saved him and gave him a home and family then going to Luke who is
accompanied by his loyal and legendary astromech r2d2 as they leave to begin grogus
training in Luke’s new jedi order with din left to look on with the other in the group as luke
leaves with grogu, however our tale do’s not end just quite yet as the scene then cuts to
jabbas palace on Tatooine as fenec kills her way into the throne room followed by boba fett
in which fencec frees bib fortunas slave with boba staring down bib who has clearly let
himself go since return of the jedi basically pisses his pant and is then killed by boba as he
chucks bibs corpse off his new thrown as he sit down readying his own story to be continued
in the book of boba fett.
And holy s*** what a finally this episode was perfect I have to give this episode a straight 10
out of 10, no that’s not good enough it deserves more I give this episode a straight 100 out
of 10 why because the action was awesome the acting was incredible and we finally got the

3. real Luke Skywalkers back in his bad ass legends glory, not that last jedi crap of him giving up
and living his life as a miserable hermit I’m looking at you riahn Johnson,
also the series as whole I have to give it a 10 out of 10 john favuro and dave foloni who have
done and incredible job continuing the success they had with the first season crafting a
unique and interesting story with lots of action and interesting characters keeping the
audience invested in what happens next to Mando and grogu and props to pedro pascel
who brought a faceless character into a iconic face of the franchise as when he need to
delver badass or emotional scenes he delivers, but also some incredible casting of rosio
dawson as the live action Ahsoka and bringing back the legendary Temuera Morrison to play
boba fett and he play the character well, seriously go watch this season if you haven’t
already you won’t regret it.
